Dream Team winners Liam and Rhys Almond have broken their silence on their competitors Taeler and Elle receiving a ‘villains’ edition.
The Queensland The Tradie siblings said the sisters, who finished third on the show, were often incorrectly thought of as “bad” because of their extremely competitive nature.
“Outside of competition, Taeler and Ellie were great people. I think they were very competitive,” Liam said. Yahoo Lifestyle.
“I think by being so competitive they just got things a little bit wrong and that showed on TV. I think a lot of Australia realised that that’s not the point of this show.”
Rhys added that appearing on the show had been a stressful experience for all the contestants and was adamant that they held no grudges.
“There was a lot of work, a lot of stress, a lot of thinking about something day after day. You didn’t feel like you had a break the whole time you were working, so to be done was amazing,” she said.
“All that hard work and knowing that I got my dream home and that we managed to get Rhys that $100,000 was incredible,” Liam added.
On Tuesday, Liam and Rhys were announced as the winners of the Channel Seven reality show after a thrilling final.

Rhys and Liam Almond gave their tropical backyard a spectacular makeover and took home the win.
They earned 37.5 points out of 40 to claim the title of Dream Home 2024 champions and $100,000 in prize money.
As one of six teams in the Dream Home competition, Liam’s run-down Queenslander home in Deception Bay received a stunning makeover, with the property now valued at $1.6 million.

Reflecting on his win and new dream home, Liam described the competition as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for his family that also helped him reconnect with his brother.
“Rhys and I are friends, but we’re brothers again and we live under the same roof,” he said.
Dream Home judges Lana Taylor, Simon Cohen and Rosie Morley unanimously praised the couple’s backyard design and layout.
