Draymond Green doesn’t question his reputation for crossing the line during NBA games, but he just wants to make sure he’s not the only player who gets a bad rap.

On Thursday night, the Warriors forward shared a statistic on his Instagram Story noting that Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has more flagrant fouls in his career than him (h/you/CummingInTheNile/Reddit).

Green had a simple answer when sharing the Clutch Points chart, which It was originally published on April 26.: “Hood winked at me.”

Green has 15 flagrant fouls in 813 career regular-season games and six more in 157 NBA playoff games, for a total of 21 in 970 games, according to ESPN.

Embiid, for his part, has 16 flagrant fouls in the regular season in 433 games and eight more in 59 playoff games, which is 24 in 492 total games, according to ESPN.

Embiid committed two flagrant fouls during the 76ers’ first-round NBA playoff series loss to the New York Knicks.

While Embiid beat Green on flagrant fouls, the Warriors forward is leaps and bounds on technical fouls.

Green has a total of 181 technical fouls between the regular season and postseason, while Embiid has just 65 technical fouls.

Green’s temper got the better of him on several occasions during the 2023-24 season, most notably when he strangled Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert. resulting in a five-game suspensionand then, when he hit Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the head, leading to an indefinite suspension That caused him to miss 16 games in total (12 due to suspension and four due to conditioning).

Green’s transgressions have arguably been worse than Embiid’s, but there’s no denying that the numbers show the 76ers star has crossed the line at a higher rate.
