Drake took a subtle dig at Rick Ross over the weekend after the rapper came under fire in Canada for playing Kendrick Lamar’s song Not Like Us.
The 48-year-old rapper was performing at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, Canada, when he decided to close his set with Not Like Us, an offensive song directed at Drake.
He got into a heated argument with a man who eventually hit him on the head and a brief fight ensued.
Toronto-based Instagram blogger Keep6ixSolid noticed that Drake had liked the video, though the rapper has not said anything further publicly.
Ross seemed unfazed by the attack, saying: TMZ on Monday that no member of his team was seriously injured.

A representative for Ross also told the outlet: “Vancouver is a beautiful city and she can’t wait to return.”
Ross did not acknowledge the fight on social media, though he did share a photo of himself in front of his private jet on Monday.
“Vancouver, it was fun. Until next time,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram story.
In addition to liking a social media post, some believe Drake may have taken a very subtle dig at Ross in a new Instagram Story post.
Monday marks Canada Day, a federal holiday celebrating Canada’s Confederation, which took place on July 1, 1867.
Drake took to his Instagram Story on Monday, wearing a Toronto Raptors jersey, and wished his 146 million Instagram followers a Happy Canada Day.
However, when he said, “Happy Canada Day, everyone,” he started laughing for some reason.
Some speculated that he was laughing at the attack Ross suffered in his home country on the eve of Canada Day.
Ross did not acknowledge the fight on social media, though he did share a photo of himself in front of his private jet on Monday.
Drake and Los Angeles native Kendrick Lamar have been embroiled in a rivalry feud that dates back more than a decade.
While Kendrick had previously opened for Drake, he dissed Drake and other rappers on Big Sean’s 2013 song Control.
Kendrick insisted it was just “friendly competition” and both Drake and Kendrick have downplayed reports of a feud between them over the years.
That all changed in March 2024 when Drake released First Person Shooter featuring J. Cole, where he referred to himself, Cole, and Kendrick as the “big three” – the three best rappers out there.
Kendrick responded with his own song Like That featuring Metro Boomin and Future, where he rapped, “Fuck the Big Three, black, I’m just the big one.”
A series of insulting tracks from both sides, including Not Like Us, where Kendrick accuses Drake of being a pedophile.
Lamar made headlines last month at a Juneteenth concert where he brought together members of the Bloods and Crips gangs on stage and performed “Not Like Us” five times in a row.
