Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has called out internet trolls for affecting his mental health in a series of new tweets, in which he vehemently denies being a “pedophile.”
After nearly two years of pleading guilty to child endangerment charges regarding a girl who met him online and attended one of his concerts in Ohio when she was 15, the 36-year-old actor has defended himself against the false accusations.
After a Twitter user wrote a message urging others not to “forget that he’s a paedophile,” the father replied: “Do a second research. This is what I have to live with every single day. They will literally kill me.”
“The blood is on their hands,” he said, referring to the stress unsubstantiated allegations are causing his health amid his divorce from his estranged wife, Janet von Schmeling.
In a separate tweet, Bell said it blew his mind “how people here are dealing with people who are clearly dealing with mental health issues.”

“It’s unreal how cruel you can be,” he grumbles, before responding angrily to another post he calls edgy.
While his fans told him not to expose himself to reading hateful posts, Bell seemed to reach a boiling point when he said “f**k” to a troll when he swore “to God” that he wasn’t a “fagot.”
His tweets were posted just a day before he claimed on Twitter that he learned his wife had filed for divorce by reading about it online.
“I found out my wife has filed for divorce from TMZ,” Bell wrote on Twitter in the wee hours of Friday. He then posted a link to a YouTube clip of his new song Going Away.
In the video, Bell sang, “I know exactly what you’re gonna do, with all I said it wasn’t right, when is everybody going to get an idea, we’re not the same”. It is unclear what the inspiration for the track was.
Von Schmeling, 28, said in court documents that she and the actor initially separated in September 2022.
The news of their separation came a week after Bell disappeared in South Florida after threatening suicide. He was later found unharmed.
Bell said the reason behind the split after four years of marriage was irreconcilable differences, the outlet reported.

The couple are parents to a one-year-old son, White Bell, whom von Schmeling seeks for primary legal and physical custody of him.
Von Schmeling said she was open to Bell receiving a visit from their son as part of the divorce agreement.
The news comes a week after the actor took to Twitter on April 13 to express his shock at the widespread news that his family had reported him missing, and officials had issued an alert saying he was missing and endangered.
“You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer all night and that?” Bell wrote on Twitter, with a face accompanied by a tears of joy emoji.
The Newport Beach, California-born artist was reported missing by the family before police found him around 1pm EST on April 13 in Florida.

The series of disturbing events follows years of erratic behavior including multiple DUI arrests and a guilty plea to charges of attempted child endangerment and publication of juvenile harmful material for which he received two years’ probation.
In January, Pell reportedly entered therapy weeks after appearing to suck on a balloon in the front seat of his parked car for more than thirty minutes outside his home – with his son in the car.
Soon after, the star separated from his wife, also an actress, and the latter moved to Florida with their son, Jeremy.
