A body change enthusiast said her mental health struggle led her to fall in love with tattooing.
Amber Luke, 24, revealed that her first tattoo was inspired by her struggle for mental health – and would lead to spending $ 55,000 on body adaptation.
The model, from the central coast of New South Wales, got her first tattoo when she was 16.
The tattoo said: “You can keep knocking, but won’t knock me down; No love lost, no love found. “

Amber said at the age of 16 that she felt she was over for her diagnosis
“It was very related to my life at the time when I was struggling with mental health bullying,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
“I was labeled at such a young age as a” focus seeker, “when I was only struggling to live a normal life.”
Amber was diagnosed with severe clinical depression the same year she received her first tattoo and said she felt very much about life.
She said that her mind was constantly playing torturing mental games with her and by the time she was 23, she was again diagnosed with borderline personality disorder with schizophrenic traits, along with severe clinical depression.
“That was really hard for me to hear that I was not” normal “in the brain. It really messed with me to think, “why shouldn’t I have been born with the right chemicals in my brain,” she said.
Amber revealed that she tried to take her own life several times, but two cases stand out.

“The first time was when I hung myself in an abandoned park three years ago,” Amber said.
“The second time was when I deliberately crashed my car into a tree that was running at 100 km / h.
‘I wish I knew then that I was worth so much more than my mental illness. I am so much more than my mental illness. It does not define me. “
Amber’s social media – where she visits Blue Eyes White Dragon – are littered with photos that show off her extensive tattoos and body changes.
However, she said that her mental health struggles affect what she uploads and her body image.
The body change enthusiast was told, for example, that she had to raise five kilos for her upcoming Brazilian butt lift operation.

During her teenage years, however, she had a “ruthless cleansing addiction.”
‘I cried [when they told me I needed to put the weight on]. But I wanted it to be so bad that I went to see my demons. I have since gained eight kilos, “she said.
Amber said she wants everyone to be concerned with mental health that they are “so much more than what your mind tells you.”
“Your mind will rule you if you don’t rule it. Your body is your temple and you only get one, so treat it with respect, “she said.
“It’s your only real home. I want people to know who is struggling, that there is always hope. “
She said she never wanted help – that she was a negative person who never saw a light at the end of the tunnel.
“One day I realized that I am not just living here for myself, I am someone’s friend, someone’s daughter, someone’s lover,” she said.
“I am so much more than this disease. You can do whatever you want. “
Amber said the reason she loves tattooing is because she views art the same way she sees life.
“You have some pain, but if you get through it, there will be something lasting and beautiful that is now separate from you,” she said.
She said the most painful tattoo she has received is her eyeballs, where she tattooed the whites of her eyes blue.
Amber started to adjust her body at the age of 16 – and has since had operations to split her tongue and sharpen her teeth into teeth
Amber said it felt like glass was being rubbed in her eyes.
Initially, she wanted to have them tattooed in black, but changed her mind at the last minute.
The model said that people have mixed reactions when they see her on the street – some even asked her why she did such “horrible” things with her body.
However, she said that the changes she has made have made her look more like herself and that she is happier than ever.
Amber said that the people who matter – such as her mother and her friends – have always been exceptionally supportive.
