Dr Katrina Watson has recalled the pain she felt when her beloved dog Toby passed away 14 years ago.

The famously happy border collie, who died in 2010, was the 56-year-old’s co-star on Seven’s pet show Harry’s Practice (1997-2003).

“We had to put out a press release when Toby passed away as the whole of Australia was behind me,” he said, recalling the pain of his family’s loss.

Since her appearance on the hit lifestyle show, Katrina has built a career as a pet influencer.

Elsewhere in the chat, Katrina shared how she was able to guide pet owners through their grief through her online content.

“I am very dedicated to supporting people who have lost their pets and that gives me enormous satisfaction,” he told the publication.

Katrina rose to fame on the Channel 10 children’s show Totally Wild in 1994.

She then appeared on Seven’s Harry’s Practice as a resident veterinarian alongside Dr Chris Brown from 1997 to 2003.
