Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s relationship may have fallen apart due to the pop star’s “love addiction,” according to popular TV host and addiction specialist Dr. Drew.
Rumors have circulated for weeks that the singer, 54, and the actor, 51, were on the verge of divorcing, and now, a number of experts have weighed in on what may have gone wrong in the latest episode of TMZ investigatesnamed JLo and Ben: Missed Warning Signs.
During the show, which aired Sunday night, TV star, podcast host and doctor Drew Pinsky, better known as Dr. Drew, 65, shared his thoughts on Jen and Ben’s failing marriage, and said that his obsession with love may be guilt.
Film producer Jon Peters, 79, started the conversation by saying: “She’s a love addict, look at the men she’s been with.” She can’t be alone.
“She needs a man in her life, she has never spent much time developing herself.”

He spoke on the latest episode of TMZ Investigates, called JLo and Ben: Missing Warning Signs, which aired on Sunday.
Dr. Drew then delved into the topic and explained that love addiction is very real and can be extremely detrimental to a relationship.
“There are actually thousands of people who participate in 12-step programs and who identify as love addicts,” he shared.
“Characteristics of this include not having great boundaries, they tend to get caught up in relationships easily and quickly, they fall in love with people and once they get in they can’t get out.”
Jennifer has been linked to many men over the years and has walked down the aisle four different times.
In 1997 she married producer Ojani Noa, but they separated after less than a year of marriage.
Months later, she entered into a relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, but they went their separate ways in 2001, after two years of dating.
After that, she quickly married dancer Cris Judd, but they divorced in 2002.
She then began dating Ben and they quickly became engaged, but called it quits in 2004, just before they became husband and wife.

And just four months later, it was revealed she was in a relationship with dancer Beau ‘Casper’ Smart.
They broke up in 2016 and that same year rumors surfaced that she was dating rapper Drake.
However, that must have backfired because in 2017 she was dating Alex Rodriguez, and by 2019, they were preparing to get married.
But in 2021 they called off the wedding and announced that they had separated. Shortly after, she reconciled with Ben and the two stars married in Las Vegas in July 2022.
Now, they are also believed to be on the brink of divorce, as they are reported to be living in separate homes and are trying to sell their $60 million Beverly Hills home.
They remained quiet amid the speculation, but formed a united front when they were seen holding hands at Ben’s daughter Violet’s graduation on May 30.
Photographers also captured them sharing an awkward kiss at their son Samuel’s basketball game days later.
They arrived separately at the sporting event and greeted each other outside; They opted not to kiss on the lips, but instead proceeded to give him an air kiss, and Ben apparently patted his wife on the back, before heading to the event together.
Additionally, the two visited his Beverly Hills office on June 14, but took separate cars and arrived just minutes from each other.
A source told DailyMail.com that Jennifer is “done” trying to make her marriage to Ben work.

Despite the rumors, Jennifer posted a tribute to Ben in honor of Father’s Day on Sunday, calling him her “hero.”
“Jenny has had enough and she really tried, but she can’t do any more, she’s not getting better, she’s getting worse,” they said.
The source added that Jennifer feels Ben is always “grumpy and negative,” which puts a strain on their romance.
“Ben is a great guy, but he can be grumpy and depressing,” they continued. ‘I think the world saw that in photos like when they were at the Grammys last year; he wouldn’t smile.
“He smokes non-stop, curses and seems irritated most of the time. Great director and actor, but not many laughs with him, you know? Although he is a wonderful father.
“Now he is filming Accounting 2 and the hours are very long, he is working hard on it and there is a lot to do with marriage and children. That is why sometimes he is not in the best mood.
“Of course Jenny is sad, she loves Ben, but they are too different, there is no give and take, there is no mixing, they are just on separate paths.
“She really tried hard to make it work, but it just didn’t work.” She invested a lot of time and energy and I think he did the same.
‘There is no one to blame here. She just wasn’t in the cards. It’s very difficult for two big stars to maintain a marriage, one has to give in, and in this case neither of them gave in.’
