Dr. Alex George posted another heartbreaking tribute to his younger brother Llyr, a day after his family left him to rest.
Alex, 29, who shared a photo of him with his arm around his brother and sister, standing in front of a scenic background, captioned the picture: “Yesterday I said goodbye to my little brother Llŷr. It was the hardest day of my life.
“Except it wasn’t a goodbye. But your dream was to become a doctor, you will make that dream come true. Every patient I see we will do it together you and I ❤️

Several Love Island co-stars responded to Alex’s message and sent their love to him.
Alex told his followers on Instagram late last month that he had lost his ‘pretty little mental health brother’ in an emotional post.

Prior to Monday’s funeral, the A&E doctor wrote, “Sometimes life throws us deep, but with family and friends we overcome the most seemingly insurmountable challenges. Today is Llyr for you. ‘
The previous evening, Dr. Alex a message saying, “Tomorrow is going to be the hardest day of my life. We come through for Llŷr and the rest of the family. ‘
Llyr died just weeks before following in his older brother’s footsteps and attending medical school.
Dr. Alex recently said that he is ‘still’ going and ‘going to be on time’ in an Instagram story shared Thursday.
The A&E doctor wrote, “Sometimes life throws us deep, but with family and friends we overcome the most seemingly insurmountable challenges. Today is Llyr for you ‘
Sad: Monday, Alex seemed to confirm that his family had let Llyr rest that day when he went to the social media platform to share an update
He said, “So many of you are coming to see me, so I want to thank you and let you know I’m still going.”
“It will work out over time.”
On Monday, the Love Island star took his stories and thanked his followers for their support as he spoke candidly about his grief.

He wrote, “These are the most difficult times I could have ever imagined.
“The kindness and love our family has received has been incredible and I am so thankful.
“In the darkest times, we need to pick ourselves up, find strength and be there for our family and friends. That’s exactly what I’m going to do. ‘

Dr. Alex also took his Saturday morning stories with him, thanked his followers for their support, and said he needs time to record the tragic news.
He wrote, “Thanks for all the kind messages here and to my phone. I am very grateful for the support and it means so much.
“I’m sorry I can’t answer yet. I have to try to process what happened somehow. ‘
In the emotional tribute that announced Llyr’s death, the A&E doctor wrote, “I can’t believe I’m actually writing this post.
“I lost my beautiful little brother to mental health. I love you so much, lr. The kindest and most caring soul.
“I was so proud that you started medical education next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor. We hurt so much. No words can explain it.
“We are devastated as a family. We love you and miss you so much. Rest in peace x Our boy. ‘

It is believed that Dr Alex’s brother would have been 19 at the time of his death. MailOnline has contacted its representatives for comment.
In 2018, Dr Alex took part in ITV’s Love Island, the popular reality dating series in which former contestants Sophie Gradon, 32, and Mike Thalassitis, 26, and 40-year-old host Caroline Flack committed suicide.
Many of Alex’s Love Island co-stars rushed to pay tribute to his late brother in the comments of his post, with Rosie Williams writing: ‘Oh no Alex! This is so awful.
“I’m so deeply sorry. I send you all the love in the world. I think of you and your family in this terrible time. ‘
Charlie Brake wrote, “So sorry sorry. Here if you need something. Devastating, “wrote Frankie Foster:” I send my love to you and your family. ‘
Samira Mighty wrote, “Stay strong,” and Wes Nelson added, “I’m sorry to hear this Alex! Stay strong, I love you buddy! ‘
Josh Denzel also said, “Brooo here if you need me.”

Dr. Alex is currently working on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic at Lewisham University Hospital in South East London.
Originally from Carmarthen, Wales, he studied medicine at the University of Exeter before setting his sights on finding romance on Love Island.
He struggled to find his dream girl in the villa, although he did have a brief affair with Alexandra Cane and dated Amelia Bath in December 2018.
The couple recently broke up after struggling to see each other during the lockdown.
