Olympic taekwondo superstars Steven and Jean Lopez have been accused by dozens of women of being sexual predators.
The super stars of the Lopez began to unravel in 2017 when several women came forward and said the brothers had attacked them.
Steven Lopez is a three-time Olympic medalist and his brother, Jean, an experienced coach.
Told Audrey-Ann LeBlanc The Daily Beast that she was raped by Steven and two of his friends during a meeting in May 2010.
LeBlanc had traveled to Dallas to meet Lopez during a taekwondo regional tournament.
After the tournament, they all met in a hotel room where she claims that Steven gave her an alcoholic drink that made her sick after a few sips.
“I started to feel that something very bad was going to happen,” LeBlanc told Daily Beast.

Heidi Gilbert (left) came forward with allegations that Jean drugged and sexually abused her. Mandy Meloon (right), a former taekwondo participant, claimed that Jean molested her in 2006 when she was 16
Meloon (who left in 2005), a bronze medalist at the 1997 and 2005 world championships, also reportedly went out with Steven for six years. She claimed that Steven had raped her once
She said Steven led her to another room where two of his friends were waiting.
One of the friends sitting in the chair asked her to sit on the bed opposite him, she claims.
She said she turned to Steven, who was standing next to her, and he told her “it’s okay” and then started kissing her before he “pushed me back on the bed.”
LeBlanc told the news site that she was unable to move her hands at the time because of the drink, but she remembered Steven raping her while another man tried to put his penis in her mouth.
The next day she woke up in her own hotel room with no pants on and a vague reminder of what had happened the night before.
Amber Means, a former member of the junior American Taekwondo team, also claimed that Steven and his friends had her in 2008.
She remembered a similar situation to LeBlanc and told how Steven reportedly gave her a drink that made her black.
“It wasn’t” Ooh, I feel sick, “Means told Daily Daily. “I was clear and then it became dark.”
The next day, when she tried to question Steven about the incident, she claims that he initially wiped her.
But the resources eventually said that Steven told her they had sex before he left to return and find the owner of the apartment who had sex with her.
Kay Poe (left) and Gabriela Joslin (right), who also promised promising female fighters, have accused Jean and Steven of sexual assault
Poe said that Jean forced her to give him a handjob in 1999. In 2002, during a Florida tournament, Poe claimed that Jean had poked her on the floor and pounded her dry until he ejaculated. Poe is shown training with Steven in 2000
When she told Steven that it was a gang, he told her she “looked good.”
Mandy Meloon, a former taekwondo participant, claimed that Jean molested her in 2006 when she was 16.
She said Jean made her improper progress and even entered her hotel room. pulled down her pajama pants and stuck his finger in her vagina as they were part of the delegation to the World Championships in Cairo, according to the Daily Beast.
Meloon, a bronze medalist at the 1997 and 2005 World Championships, also reportedly went out with Steven for six years. She claimed that Steven had raped her once.
Heidi Gilbert, another former athlete, claimed that Jean drugged and sexually abused her.
She said she didn’t contact law enforcement officers because “they won’t believe me, nothing’s going to happen.”
Gilbert said she detailed the allegations to investigators for the US Taekwondo and the US Center for SafeSport.
Another woman, only identified as a former member of the junior national team, said she had been drugged three times and that Steven had once had sex with her while she was unconscious.
She has also notified Taekwondo and SafeSport in the US, but no law enforcement.
Kay Poe and Gabriela Joslin, who also promised female fighters, have accused Jean and Steven of sexual violence.
Poe said that Jean forced her to give him a handjob in 1999. In 2002, during a Florida tournament, Poe claimed that Jean had poked her on the floor and pounded her dry until he ejaculated.
In addition to Steven, the other brothers, sisters of Jean, Diana and Mark (who left with Jean in 2008), participated in Olympic Taekwondo
Jean was declared permanently ineligible in April 2018 after the American Center for SafeSport discovered that he was engaged in a “decades-long pattern of sexual misconduct” involving “younger female athletes.”
The ban was lifted and replaced by a temporary sanction in August 2018 pending an arbitration hearing.
In January 2019, the arbitration panel ruled in favor of Jean, removing his name from the sanctioned list of SafeSport and being able to coach him again after being accused of sexual misconduct.
Four weeks earlier, Jean’s brother Steven had lifted his sanction after winning arbitration.

The specific reasoning for the decision in Jean ‘s case was not disclosed, but according to USA today, a similar sexual misconduct against Steven was lifted after the arbitrator cited the absence of the reporting party in the arbitration process.
In its decision of April 2018, SafeSport filed its case against Jean.
“This issue concerns a decades-long pattern of sexual misconduct by an older athlete / coach who abuses his ability to care for, manipulate, and ultimately sexually abuse younger female athletes,” SafeSport said at the time.
‘Given the number of reported incidents over a period of several years and by several reporting parties, most of whom have no reasonable motive to come up with a claim – much less frequent, individual incidents – of misconduct, the whole of the circumstances shows clearly a recurring pattern of behavior from Jean. ”
Both brothers have denied the charges of sexual assault against them.
“I’ve never been inappropriate with anyone,” said Jean Lopez.
Jean is best known for coaching the American Olympic taekwondo team during the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
In addition to his brother, Steven, Jean’s other brothers and sisters, Diana and Mark, participated in the Olympic taekwondo.
