Two men wearing balaclavas were arrested near John Ibrahim’s home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs; one of them was found to be carrying a gun.
The couple were caught acting suspiciously before police were called to the scene on George Street in Dover Heights before 9am on Thursday.
One of the men fled on foot before being arrested, while the second led police on a car chase before being handcuffed.
“A police operation has concluded in the eastern suburbs following a pursuit this morning,” a New South Wales Police spokesman said.
‘Officers attached to the Eastern Suburbs Area Police Command have arrested two men. Investigations are ongoing.
