Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz looked very cozy as they dodged the rain on Sunday.

The couple attended the Cliveden Literary Festival and looked casual as they held hands.

The 56-year-old James Bond star was a totally supportive husband on his way to the event where Rachel joined former BBC journalist Emily Maitlis for an interview.

Daniel continued to sport the tousled blonde locks he’s been sporting lately, while accessorizing his look with oversized sunglasses.

He has surprised fans in recent months with his new hairstyle which appears to be for his upcoming film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which began filming in June.

Rachel and Daniel’s appearance at the literary festival held at Clivedon House in London was very different to their glamorous appearance at the 81st Venice Film Festival earlier this month.

The couple, who have been married since 2011 and share three children, looked sensational as they walked the red carpet for the premiere of Daniel’s latest film, Queer.

Based on William Burroughs’ semi-autobiographical novel about obsessive lust, it stars Craig as American expatriate and war veteran William Lee, who has an affair with a younger man, Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey), a drug addict and discharged Navy SEAL.

Daniel has been tipped for an Oscar nomination for the film.

He recently spoke about the frank gay love scenes in his new film Queer, telling the Venice Film Festival: “We just wanted to make it as touching, real and natural as possible.”

Delegates at the film festival were shocked by the sex scenes, which were unlike anything seen before in a mainstream film.

Speaking on Tuesday, he said: ‘Drew (Starkey) is a fantastic and wonderful actor to work with and we laugh a lot, we try to make it funny.

‘There was choreography in the movie that was a very important part of the film. Drew and I started rehearsing the dance months before we started shooting. Dancing with someone is a good way to break the ice.

‘You know as well as I do that there’s nothing intimate about filming a sex scene on a movie set, but we just wanted to make it as touching, real and natural as possible.’

Director Luca Guadagnino, responsible for the recent hit film Challengers starring Zendaya, said: “In our first Zoom meeting, Daniel was convinced that this was going to be, first and foremost, a love story. We stuck to that: what it means to love and be loved, to be connected and to be disconnected.”

Asked whether James Bond (the spy played by his star five times) could be gay, Guadagnino replied: “Let’s all be mature about it. There’s no getting around the fact that no one knows James Bond’s desires.

“That said, no! The important thing is that it fulfills its mission well.”
