Happy Gilmore 2 co-star Travis Kelce isn’t the only member of his family making inroads into the movie business.
Travis and Jason’s mom, Donna, will appear in two upcoming Hallmark Christmas movies that, unsurprisingly, will be football-themed.
True to form, he won’t play favorites between his sons, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis and recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason.
“Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” revolves around a “fan of the year” contest for the team, while “Christmas on Call” features a die-hard Eagles fan helping his love interest get to know Philadelphia, Hallmark Channel said in a statement this week.
While Mama Kelce isn’t the first time she’s faced the camera, having appeared in the Jason Kelce documentary and in many game photos, the two films mark her acting debut. In ‘Holiday Touchdown,’ she plays the manager of a barbecue restaurant.
And while it’s unclear whether she’s playing a character or herself in ‘Christmas on Call,’ her role is to make sure one of the leads orders their Cheesesteak the authentic way, with ‘brilliant wit.’

Recording artist Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce watch the action during the second half between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The cameo announcements follow Travis’ own forays into Hollywood: Having hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ earlier in 2023 before his relationship with Taylor Swift caused his profile to skyrocket, he’s now set to star in Ryan Murphy’s ‘Grotesquerie’ and host ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ He also earned his first producing credit this year.
Meanwhile, Jason has joined ESPN as an analyst. He’ll also have a song in one of his mother’s movies: “Christmas on Call” will feature “Santa Drives an Astrovan,” by The Philly Specials (aka Jason Kelce and Eagles players Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson) featuring Mt. Joy, according to the release. It’s part of an upcoming album with proceeds going to the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
But Donna is not far behind.
According to a report in The Sun, she is wanted to host a new food and drink TV series, and Amazon is among the favourites to sign her.
Any deal with Amazon would come after it awarded Travis and Jason a $100 million contract for their super-popular podcast New Heights, and could make them the favorites to sign another member of the Kelce family.
Donna Kelce is the subject of interest from several television networks, a new report claims
Travis and Jason’s mom regularly sits next to Taylor Swift while she watches Chiefs games.
A source close to Travis told The Sun: “Other channels and TV groups have been showing interest for some time and a decision is expected to be made soon as there are plenty of projects on the table for her.
‘It’s a bit like what happens with his children: he has a lot of opportunities and a lot of offers on the table.
“So he has a lot of options to make for the next steps in his career.”
Donna recently signed a deal with bakery company Pillsbury and also has a wine deal with Barefoot, setting her up perfectly for a new venture into the food and drink world.
She has regularly spoken about her love of baking and is known for baking cookies for her two children ahead of their 2023 Super Bowl showdown.
“I love baking and I bake a lot,” she previously said in an interview with The Today Show.
‘I make biscuits, blueberry muffins, anything that’s easy to grab and go. I also have my own grab-and-go biscuits, baked brie, stuff like that.’
