An attempt by a horny donkey to mount a woman’s horse in County Dublin while she was riding it has led to a £50,000 personal injury claim.
The owners of the daring donkey were sued by company director Helen Dunne for negligence and breach of duty.
Ms Dunne claimed that on April 7, 2017, she was horse riding on a road when she passed the donkey’s field.
Suddenly, the animal escaped and tried to get on his horse.
Dunne alleged she suffered shock and personal injuries after the donkey kicked her and tried to bite her leg while she tried to control her horse to thwart the attack.
The rider’s claim also included a liability allegation against the farmer who owned the donkey, John Moore.
It had been claimed that it was Mr Moore’s responsibility to know that the donkey was naughty.

In 2015, a woman in Georgia, USA, had to have her arm and leg amputated after being savagely attacked by a donkey.
Georgia Giacomi, a mother of two, was bitten by a donkey on her local farm while feeding it.
The animal managed to drag her under a barbed wire fence, and what followed was a savage attack that lasted a few minutes in which she was bitten and trampled repeatedly, shattering her left arm and hand and fracturing several ribs.
His injuries, although serious, were supposed to heal in a few months.
But a litany of medical failures led Giacomi to develop a flesh-eating infection that devastated one side of his body.
Three weeks after the attack, his left arm above the elbow and his left leg above the knee were amputated.
