Donald Trump spent a record-breaking $ 104 million on parties to celebrate his inauguration, including huge sums paid to companies with a personal connection with him.
The 45th president spent $ 1.4 million in his own hotel in Washington DC and gave $ 26 million to a party planning company run by Stephanie Winston-Wolkoff, a close friend and former counselor to his wife Melania.
He also paid $ 2.7 million to organize a performance by Frank Sinatra's New York, New York, with showgirls flown in by Vegas Wynn from Vegas.
Donald Trump's inaugural commission spent $ 104 million on three showpieces, including large sums paid to companies with a personal relationship with him
In the course of three showpieces $ 130,000 was spent on Tiffany's salad bowls, $ 130,000 went on seat cushions and $ 10,000 was spent on make-up.
The figures were revealed by ABC, which reviewed spending documents.
In addition to the $ 26 million handed over to her company, documents show that Winston-Wolkoff also paid directly $ 1.6 million.
Shortly after the inauguration, Winston-Wolkoff – a former Vogue employee – was announced as unpaid advisor to Melania.
She noticed, however, that she is in the cold a month later after the New York Times unveiled her bumper payday at the inauguration.
Winston-Wolkoff denied that the two had ties and stressed that it was part of a wider selection of voluntary contracts at the White House.

Brad Parscale, who dominated Trump's digital strategy in 2016, also paid $ 2.7 million for digital services during the inauguration

The new documents have revealed that many of her employees have entrenched themselves at the Trump hotel in DC during the festivities, spending thousands of dollars on food and drinks.
A single couple who worked for Wolkoff during this period, invoiced the inauguration commission for $ 1,835 in service costs over three days.
Meanwhile, $ 2.7 million was given to a company run by Brad Parscale, a digital guru & # 39; on the Trump 2016 campaign, for digital services during the inauguration.
Parscale, a digital consultant who has worked for the Trump Winery and the Eric Trump Foundation in the past, also manages the election bid of the President 2020.
Between now and the election day next year, he plans to spend about $ 1 billion, according to an interview he gave Fox News earlier this month.

Democrats, who now oversee the House Oversight Committee, are expected to dive into the numbers – only the last item on a long list of Trump transactions they have promised to investigate.
But Brett Kappel, a campaign finance advocate who spoke with ABC, said there were few hard and fast rules on how the money could be spent, and it is not clear from the documents whether Trump has broken any of these.
The point is whether guests in the Trump hotel paid fair prices for goods they bought during their stay there.
