TMZ obtained images of the alleged culprits while in the early hours of Wednesday morning & # 39; Putin & # 39; s b *** h & # 39; wrote about Donald Trump's Hollywood star
But about four hours later, the star was just as new as the officials thought it was, with just a few spots of black paint on it.
This is not the first time that Trump's star has been aimed in such a way, with the plaque targeting several times in recent years.
On December 20, a security camera captured a man who knelt beside Trump & # 39; s star and poured some black paint over it.
The vandal was reportedly part of a protest initiated by the Los Angeles chapter of PETA on Forever 21, alongside the star.
The paint was removed within an hour, less than a day after two swastikas were scrubbed from the star.
Another man in black was captured on the TMZ camera and signed the swastikas around 9 o'clock earlier in December.
In September 2018, street artist Plastic Jesus placed bars on the plaque to show that the & # 39; infamous star has been caged & # 39 ;.

The British and Los Angeles-based artist used direct-drying, industrial strength, double-sided adhesive tape to secure the rods.
Kunststof Jesus said he wanted to show the stunt that Trump had to pay the price if he was guilty of conspiracy with Russia in the 2016 presidential election.
The artist tweeted his latest artwork on Wednesday and wrote: & # 39; Today I put @realDonaldTrump behind bars & # 39 ;.
His art installation, however, did not last long because a Trump supporter damaged him.
& # 39; Although it was quickly damaged by a Trump supporter who tried to remove it, the bars were quickly trapped and were there a few hours later – to the delight of thousands of passing tourists, & # 39; Plastic Jesus added.

In 2016, Plastic Jesus surrounded the star of Trump with a 6-inch wall as a protest against Trump's call to build a wall on the American border with Mexico.
His model was complete with barbed wire and a small American flag.
In July 2018, Trump's star had to be completely replaced after a demonstrator attacked it and smashed it to pieces.
Austin Clay, 24, did not argue last month for a fight against crime against vandalism after he was caught on camera and lifted the ax high above his head and hit the star.
Clay was sentenced to one day in prison, three years of probation and 20 days of community work.
He also has to pay the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce $ 9,404 in damages for the star and another $ 800 in fines.

The Trump star was originally installed in 2007 to praise his work for the Miss Universe election, but the plaque has been repeatedly attacked by protesters since he became president.
The long-awaited Mueller report published last week by Attorney General William Barr claimed that there was insufficient evidence to announce the Trump campaign along with the Kremlin to increase his chances of election.
Mueller also investigated whether Mr. Trump obstructed justice but did not come to a definitive answer, Attorney General William Barr said in a letter to Congress summarizing Mr. Mueller's report.
The special council does not "relieve" Mr. Trump of obstructing justice, Barr said, and his report "outlines evidence on both sides of the question."
The president, however, tweeted that he was "completely acquitted" of collusion and obstruction of justice.
When he told journalists before he boarded Air Force One to return to Washington from a weekend at his private club in Florida, Mr. Trump said "it was a shame" that the nation should go through the investigation.
