Donald Trump’s favorite star has redoubled his support for Kamala Harris for the presidency of the United States, after the Republican admitted his love for the star.
Julia Roberts. 57, who has been campaigning for Harris and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, caught Trump’s ire after she urged his supporters’ wives to secretly vote for Harris in an ad for the evangelical group Vote Common Good.
After Trump called her “embarrassing” and said he was “disappointed” in her for narrating the video, Roberts took to Instagram to encourage others to vote for Harris once again.
The star wore a T-shirt with the word POTUS and the female gender symbol, along with an I Voted sticker.
She wrote: ‘There is a time to hope, there is a time to pray and there is a time to vote. Today is the day!’ – before closing the comments section.’

In the ad released last month, a husband and wife, both wearing stars and stripes hats and apparently supporters of Donald Trump, are seen heading to a voting center.
The husband says, “Your turn, honey,” as the wife walks into a table.
Looking at another voter across the room, she smiles and votes for Harris-Walz.
Roberts narrates, “In the only place in America where women still have the right to choose, you can vote however you want and no one will ever know.”
When the women leave after voting, the husband asks, ‘Did you make the right decision?’ and she replies, “Of course, honey,” before sharing a knowing look with her friend.
Roberts continues: “Remember that what happens in the cabin stays in the cabin.”
Vote Common Good says they are working to help evangelical and Catholic voters find an “off-ramp” from the Republican vote.
Trump took offense to Roberts in an awkward chat with Fox and Friends, saying, “I’m very disappointed in Julia Roberts because I love…” before pausing.

Trump called Roberts “embarrassing” but admitted he loved her after the announcement (pictured with vice presidential candidate JD Vance in September).
He added: “She’s going to look back on that and cringe, did I really say that?” It doesn’t say much about their relationship, but I’m sure they have a great relationship.
‘Even if you had a horrible relationship, if you had a bad relationship, you’re going to tell your husband. That’s a ridiculous ad. It’s so stupid. Some days you’ll look back and say, ‘Did I really do that?’
Roberts is married to Danny Moder and the couple shares three children.
Last month, Roberts defended women’s reproductive rights ahead of the crucial 2024 US presidential election.
The actress spoke on stage at the Harris-Walz reproductive freedom rally in Georgia’s fiercely conservative Cherokee County.
State Democratic Party leader Stacey Abrams joined the Smyrna, Georgia, native during the high-energy rally.
Georgia recently reinstated its strict ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, two years after the Supreme Court’s controversial overturning of Roe V. Wade.

Rape, incest and the mother’s health are listed as “exceptions” to the ban on abortion at six weeks.
Roberts said it took him 10 hours to get to the event, but he would “do it all over again” to inspire the “brave” men and women who attended.
He began his impassioned speech by sending “prayers” to those affected by powerful Hurricane Milton, which made landfall in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Wednesday night.
She then explained that her parents were “activists” who encouraged her to be a “conversationalist” who cares about those who think “differently” from her.
“Clearly everyone (in this room) feels the same way (politically),” he joked before encouraging his fellow Democrats to “talk to all the people” in their lives despite political differences.
Maybe they don’t understand things like you do. Bring them into conversation. Make sure they are registered to vote, even if they don’t vote for the person you think they should vote for.
“It’s the United States of America and we’ve been missing the ‘united’ part for so long,” Roberts said, earning applause from the audience, according to fox 5.
Roberts said he “believes” in the state of Georgia and applauded those who attended the rally.
‘I believe in Georgia. I would not have returned home if I did not believe that we can achieve truly beautiful goals that will extend beyond the borders of our state.

‘I just hope all the women here tonight talk to all the men who aren’t here tonight. And all the brave men who are here tonight, talk to all the other men who are not here tonight.

As polls close tonight with just hours to go, top pollster Nate Silver finally revealed his final prediction for the 2024 election.
Silver says he’s “literally closer than tossing a coin” as what could be the closest election in U.S. history comes to an end Tuesday.
But in the end he believes Democrat Kamala Harris will emerge victorious, although only by a small percentage in most of their matchups.
“The race is literally closer than flipping a coin: Empirically, heads wins 50.5 percent of the time, more than Harris’ 50.015 percent,” Silver said Tuesday morning.
According to their model, Harris won the Electoral College in 50.015 percent of simulations, compared to 49.985 percent for Trump.
That’s equivalent to Harris winning 40,012 simulations compared to Trump’s 39,718.
He added that he had never seen anything like this during his years of election prediction.
