But he promised to appear on the baseball field and added, “We’ll make it later in the season!”
Despite Trump’s dedication to meetings about the virus – which has infected more than 4.1 million and killed more than 146,000 in the country – he spent his Sunday salutation with 50 supporters gathered at his New Jersey golf club, with especially without wearing a mask.
Trump has tried to show voters that he takes the virus seriously by holding briefings and canceling Republican congressional events for Jacksonville, Florida – which now have more COVID-19 cases than New York.

On Saturday, more than 414,000 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Florida, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
The states now have the second highest number of cases of cooronavirus. More than 9,300 new cases were reported in Sunshine State on Sunday, along with 78 new deaths.
That number passes the 411,000 cases registered to date in New York, which was the deadly epicenter of the virus.
California currently has the most cases of coronavirus.
California, Arizona and Nevada, Alabama, and Idaho are all states that are seeing a startling wave of coronavirus cases after the easing of lock restrictions.
