The first couple started off at the military-themed Commander in Chief Ball before heading to the nearby Liberty Ball, where they danced on stage with the entire Trump family. They then drove in a motorcade to Union Station for the Starlight Ball.

“We needed three because we have so much support,” Trump told the crowd at the Liberty Ball at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Monday night.

Melania debuted a leggy, white and black dress, which was custom made by Hervé Pierre, the same designer who created her inaugural 2017 outfit.

The crowd waited for hours to see the returned commander-in-chief and he and the first lady, who were finally played by the United States Marine Band at the Commander-in-Chief Ball just before 10:30 p.m.

The Trumps did their first slow dance to The Battle Hymn of the Republic, played by the United States Marine Band, before being joined on stage by Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha.

Both couples then danced with members of the military, as is customary.

Trump danced with a Space Force sergeant, while Melania enjoyed one with a member of the Honor Guard, neither of whom have been named yet.

JD and Usha Vance each danced with members of the military – from the Marine Coprs and Navy respectively.

“This is quite a meeting, isn’t it?” the 47th president said to the crowd of thousands, many of whom wore their dress uniforms.

At the Liberty Ball, also held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the president and first lady danced again to The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

This time, however, the entire Trump clan took to the stage, including Tiffany Trump who showed off her baby bump.

Donald Trump Jr. was spotted dancing with his children – including daughter Chloe and Kai, who made her political debut in July by speaking at the Republican National Convention.

Trump Jr., who was also joined by new girlfriend Bettina Anderson at inauguration events this weekend, was due to take the stage at an inauguration gala with ex-fiancé and his father’s pick for Greek Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle.

The Village People also performed at the Trump victory rally on Sunday afternoon – and again at Turning Point USA’s Inauguration Ball on Sunday evening.

Attendees at the Starlight Ball were also treated to a dance from the entire first family – this time to Frank Sinatra’s I Did It My Way – another favorite tune of the president.
