Donald Trump urged Michigan women to get their “fat” husbands off the couch – even if it means slapping them – and go out and vote for him.
The Republican candidate addressed the crowd at a rally in Detroit on Friday, where early voting is already underway.
Trump, 78, also referred to the women’s husbands as “fat pigs” and encouraged them to go to the polls. Early voting begins in Michigan on October 26.
“Gather everyone you know and get out and vote,” Trump said. ‘Go tomorrow. It’s just getting started. Go and vote.

Trump’s appeal to women comes amid news that he is trailing Kamala Harris when it comes to support among the demographic.
A New York Times/Siena College poll conducted earlier this month found that 56 percent of likely women voters back Harris, compared to 40 percent who support Trump.
Trump’s support among black women was even lower, at just 12 percent compared to Harris’ 83 percent.
Attendees at Usher’s tour opening concert in Atlanta explained why they will support Harris. The star is due to appear with the vice president at a rally in the city on Saturday.
Channal Gross-Anderson said she was eager to vote for a black woman. “She is passionate about women’s rights and not just the well-being of the wealthy or the rich, but the well-being of everyone,” Gross-Anderson said.
Others, like Cassandra Johnson, were not enthusiastic about either candidate. Johnson said he will vote for Harris even though he has reservations about her past as a California prosecutor.

“We’ve been under Trump for four years now, and I see what it was like, but I didn’t particularly enjoy it,” Johnson said. “And I definitely didn’t enjoy having our rights as women taken away from us.”
Ashlan Hawkins is concerned about reproductive rights in the wake of recent deaths in Georgia related to abortion restrictions.
“For that reason alone I will vote for Kamala,” Hawkins said.
Trump’s rally came after a campaign event in Oakland County on Friday afternoon.
The former Republican president opened a roundtable praising Teamsters President Sean O’Brien, calling him “a great guy.”
O’Brien spoke at the Republican National Convention and his union refused to endorse Harris, which was seen as a victory for Trump given the union’s past support for Democrats.
“I think it was many decades before they endorsed a Republican. “I think they’ll start very soon,” Trump said Friday, adding that he has the support of “grassroots truckers across the country.”
Meanwhile, Harris hosted her own event in Grand Rapids where she told the crowd that Trump “has no plan” to protect the American people.

He added that he would “defend all Americans.” The crowd reacted by shouting “concepts of a plan,” in reference to a comment Trump made during his debate with Harris.
The vice president took up the phrase and repeated it to the crowd several times, laughing while making quotes with her hands.
He also said that he has witnessed “an all-out assault” on American freedoms and that “there is a lot at stake in this election.”
As the event concluded, Harris implored the crowd to make a plan to vote. Early voting begins Saturday in Detroit.
“Never let anyone take your power away,” he said.
