Donald Trump’s presidential campaign hit some turbulence as the MAGA world fell out over his cozy relationship with right-wing provocateur Laura Loomer.
The 31-year-old activist accompanied Trump on his private jet as he traveled to the presidential debate in Philadelphia and the Sept. 11 commemoration in New York on Wednesday.
Loomer, known for launching hate-filled tirades against a wide range of religious and ethnic groups, has been described as Trump’s “security blanket.”
“I spent a few days with Laura Loomer earlier this year and came away with the impression that she functions as a security blanket for Trump,” Washington Post reporter Kara Voght tweeted.
“When the campaign asks her to deny her deep-rooted tendencies, Loomer encourages them. And Trump loves it.”
Despite the convenience it provides, a range of Republicans, from Marjorie Taylor-Green to Senator Lindsey Graham, have denounced Loomer as ‘atrocious and extremely racist’

Loomer sparked a storm of criticism after claiming that a Harris presidency would make the White House “smell like curry.”
Graham called her comments “beyond disturbing,” said she was “toxic” and warned Trump to make sure his presence “doesn’t become a bigger story.”
His comments led Loomer to claim the senator was gay.
“I want you to let go of that toxic anger that you’ve been keeping locked away in the closet,” Loomer dismissively responded to Graham. “It’s 2024. No one needs to hide the fact that they’re gay anymore.”
Loomer, who has reported for Alex Jones’ Infowars, has cast herself as one of Trump’s most devoted allies in his fight for the White House and has criticized Republicans she accuses of disloyalty.
Trump has repeatedly praised her, describing her as a “very important person, politically.”
“The great Laura Loomer, some of you know her, is a fantastic person, a great woman,” she told an audience in Nashville in July.

The feud erupted when Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene lashed out at her fellow Maga stalwart after Loomer claimed a Harris presidency would make the White House “smell like curry.”
As the infighting escalated Thursday, she found herself engaged in a heated exchange with Republican Party spokeswoman Madison Gesiotto Gilbert, a former Miss Ohio.
Loomer called Gilbert “one of those talentless GOP idiots who actually believes that being a ‘beauty queen’ is an accomplishment.”
“Madison begged Donald Trump to support her when she ran for Congress and now she’s on CNN with Van Jones attacking Donald Trump,” he tweeted. “It’s disgusting to see how disloyal many of these scammers are.”
“No, we’re on CNN attacking you, the racist. Period,” Gesiotto Gilbert responded.
‘But you keep lying to yourself. You’re a con man and a liar, among other things. I’ve supported President Trump for a decade. You’re just in the way.’
“Listen, honey,” Loomer responded with a scathing response. “You’re a fool who calls herself a ‘beauty queen’ and you didn’t even defend Donald Trump once tonight when he was attacked while you appeared heavily made up on a network in a segment meant to attack Donald Trump.
Loomer helped prepare Trump for his presidential debate as she accompanied him on Trump Force One to the event in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
The influencer has not hidden her admiration for the 78-year-old former president.
Last night she turned her attention to the senior senator, baselessly labelling him a closet homosexual after he warned her about his growing influence over the party leader.

The couple has been seen hugging at public events and Loomer has long boasted about her closeness to the former president.
She told CNN she was on the plane with him the day after he was shot.
“He wanted me to be with him on the plane the day after he was almost killed. I was with him. I flew with him to the Republican National Convention, to show that I’m a trustworthy person, that I support him,” she explained.
She has twice run for Congress with Republican support, once for the Florida district of her Mar-a-Lago home.
She has described Islam as a “cancer” and Muslims as “savages,” insisting they should not be allowed to seek political office in the United States.
She has suggested that some Democrats should be executed for “treason” and has criticized Jews who vote for Democrats, saying they “might as well put themselves in a gas chamber if that’s how they’re going to behave.”
And he angered some Republicans during the party’s primaries when he repeatedly booed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and accused his wife Casey of using her breast cancer diagnosis to attract sympathy votes for her husband.
Democrats glowed yesterday at the increasingly poisonous atmosphere between their rivals, with White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declaring: “No leader should ever associate with someone who spreads this kind of ugliness, this kind of racist poison.”
House Minority Leader and New York Rep. Hakeem Jeffries said her presence with Trump at the Sept. 11 commemorations should “shock the conscience of every decent American.”

Loomer was a longtime ally of fellow far-right stalwart Marjorie Taylor-Greene.
Tensions flared openly when Taylor-Greene reposted Loomer’s X-rated statement saying that if Vice President Kamala Harris won the election, “the White House will smell like curry and White House speeches will be facilitated through a call center and the American people will only be able to convey their feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that no one will understand.”
“This is atrocious and extremely racist,” the Georgia congresswoman tweeted. “It does not represent who we are as Republicans or who we are in MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This type of behavior should never be tolerated.”
Loomer downplayed the attack on Harris’s Indian ancestry, saying she was joking. Trump himself said he was okay with Harris’s racial identity after being asked at the debate about his earlier comment that she had “turned” black.
“I don’t care what she is. I don’t care. If you make a big deal about something, I couldn’t care less. Whatever she wants to be is fine with me,” Trump said of Harris at the debate.
The attack by Greene, who is a lightning rod in the Republican House of Representatives, comes after several conservative commentators, including Brit Hume on Fox News Channel, said Harris won the debate and said Trump “repeatedly took the bait” amid Harris’ attacks.
Green unleashed even more attacks on the Capitol on Thursday.
“I’m concerned about his rhetoric and his hateful tone. To me, a lot of the comments he makes and the way he attacks Republicans like myself and a lot of other Republicans who are strong supporters of President Trump, I think that’s a huge problem and that’s not representative of MAGA as a whole,” she told DailyMail.com and a group of reporters amid the fallout.
“I normally try to ignore her post, but someone had sent me that post about Kamala Harris and it really bothered me. And you know, my personality, everyone knows I’m outspoken, and I felt like it was time to call it out. I think it’s wrong. We’re not a party of identity politics. We’re a party for all Americans,” the lawmaker said.
She urged attacking Harris on inflation and the border, “not attacking them because they may not have children and they love their pets, and I don’t want anything to do with that.”
That appeared to be a reference to both the pet-eating conspiracy theory Trump has promoted and his running mate JD Vance’s earlier comment about “cat ladies without children.”

She continued to tweet about the breakup throughout the day on Thursday. “I stand by everything I said. I will not be deleting any tweets.”
Loomer also did not back down from comments Trump made about pet consumption during the debate.
“They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. It’s time to send them back,” he posted.
