Donald Trump has shared AI-generated posts on his social media platform Truth Social, suggesting he has gained support from Taylor Swift and her fans.
Last night, Trump shared posts with fake images of women wearing T-shirts reading ‘Swifties For Trump’, as well as a poster of the singer dressed as Uncle Sam and urging her fans to vote for the Republican candidate.
“I agree,” the former president, 78, wrote on the platform, though it is unclear whether his comment refers to the AI-generated crowd of “Swifties” (the term used to describe the pop star’s fans) or Swift’s fake endorsement.
Swift, 34, has yet to endorse any candidate in the 2024 presidential election, but is highly unlikely to back Trump, whom she has criticised in the past. She said his 2016 victory took her “totally by surprise” and vowed ahead of the 2020 election that “we’re going to kick him out in November”.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker is also suspected of being among the Hollywood celebrities who could appear at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago this week. CNN There are reportedly two shows left on the London leg of her Eras Tour, but Swift could theoretically make it to Illinois for the final nights of the convention.

Two of the photos in Trump’s Truth Social post are reportedly legitimate, Wisconsin right now reported.
Jenna Piwowarczyk, a 19-year-old Trump supporter who is also a fan of the singer, reportedly wore a ‘Swifties for Trump’ during a campaign rally in Wisconsin.
However, there doesn’t actually seem to be a huge following for “Swifties for Trump,” as shown by the AI-generated photos, which were clearly labeled as “satire.”
Last night Trump doubled down on his claim that he was winning support from Swifties, sharing a video of an apparent MAGA fan saying that the “Swifties were waking up” after a failed terror attempt resulted in the Austrian leg of the Eras Tour being cancelled. It is unclear whether the video is authentic.
Swifties have rallied to support Vice President Kamala Harris. The @Swifties4Kamala X account now has more than 60,000 followers.
The pop star, who supported Joe Biden in the 2020 campaign, is suspected of supporting Harris.
While her attendance at the Democratic National Convention has not been confirmed, there has also been speculation that the Love Story singer may perform at the event.

The Democratic National Committee has apparently already paid tribute to Swift by announcing that there will be stations where DNC attendees can make friendship bracelets, which are exchanged by Swifties at concerts and fan meetings.
Harris’ campaign has also reached out to co-founders of the Swifties for Kamala group, who told CNN that the vice president’s group “reached out to us to ask how they can support our initiative.”
Irene Kim, who co-founded the group with fellow Swiftie Carly Long, said she was also invited to the Democratic National Convention as a content creator but is unable to attend the event.
While Swift’s presence will definitely be felt at the Democratic National Convention, multiple sources have told the broadcaster that “high-profile speakers are still being selected.”
Prior to the 2016 election, Swift kept quiet about her political leanings, leading some to suspect she was actually a secret Republican.
But during the 2018 midterm elections, Swift expressed strong support for Tennessee Democrats, including Senate candidate Phil Bredesen and House candidate Jim Cooper.
At the time, she explained it this way in an Instagram post: ‘I’ve been reluctant to publicly express my political views in the past, but due to various events in my life and in the world over the past two years, I now feel very differently about it.’
“I have always and will always cast my vote for the candidate who will protect and fight for the human rights that I believe we all deserve in this country,” he added.
Taylor Swift endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 presidential race
Swift previously said she was “completely blindsided” by Trump’s 2016 victory and promised in a tweet ahead of the 2020 election that “we will be voting for you in November.”
In 2020, the Blank Space singer came out in full support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
“I will proudly vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in this year’s presidential election. Under their leadership, I believe America has the opportunity to begin the healing process it so desperately needs,” she said in an interview with V Magazine ahead of the election.
She also tagged Trump in a post by X criticizing him: ‘After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism his entire presidency, he has the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.”… We’ll kick them out in November.
In her documentary ‘Miss Americana,’ which came out in 2020, Swift addressed her decision to speak publicly about politics, saying, “I need to be on the right side of history.”
“These are not your father’s celebrities, and they are not your father’s Republicans,” Swift said.
Swift has been a close ally of the LGBTQ community. She also criticized the U.S. Supreme Court after it overturned the Roe v Wade ruling ending the constitutional right to abortion in 2022.
The New York Times reported earlier this year that Joe Biden’s campaign had been actively seeking Swift’s endorsement.
Trump has also questioned whether Swift is “legitimately liberal” or if it is all an act.

The former president spoke about the megastar in an interview for Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh’s “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” which was published in June.
When asked what he thought of the ‘Shake it Off’ singer in November 2023, the former president praised the billionaire entertainer.
“I think she’s beautiful, very beautiful! I find her very beautiful,” Trump told the author. He also said, “I’ve heard she’s very talented,” and “I think she’s very beautiful, actually, unusually beautiful.”
But the Republican presidential candidate suspects that the admiration is not mutual. He said:I think he’s a liberal. He probably doesn’t like Trump.
During Trump’s interview for the book, he also questioned whether Swift is really a liberal despite her public endorsements in recent years.
“Is he liberal or is it just an act?” Trump asked. “Is he legitimately liberal? Isn’t it an act?”
He added: “I’m surprised that a country star can be successful as a liberal.”
