Incoming President Donald Trump will name an NBA team owner as the next US ambassador to Italy.
Trump will be sworn in for the second time on January 20.
And Houston Rockets owner Tillman Fertitta is expected to work for the Trump administration as the US ambassador to Italy, according to a report from CBS News’ Jennifer Jacobs.
Fertitta, 67, has owned the Rockets since 2017 and is currently worth $10.9 billion. according to Forbes.
He has made his fortune as president of Landry’s, a corporation that includes casinos, hotels and restaurants such as Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Fertitta was born in Galveston, Texas, but is of Sicilian descent.

The position is expected to be filled by Houston Rockets owner Tillman Fertitta.
It’s unclear how Fertitta’s appointment, if finalized, would affect his day-to-day duties with the Rockets.
For his latest administration, Trump chose Jets owner Woody Johnson as his choice for U.K. ambassador, leaving his brother, Christopher, in charge of the team.
However, Woody will not serve a second term in office, as billionaire Warren Stephens has been selected this time.
Jack Markell currently serves as US ambassador to Italy under the Joe Biden administration.
Trump made another ambassador choice on Tuesday when he announced he would name former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle as his ambassador to Greece.
Guilfoyle had been engaged to Trump’s son Donald Jr., but their relationship now appears to be over after he was spotted holding hands with another woman.
