Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday slammed claims in a new biography of Queen Elizabeth II that she found him “very rude,” calling them the work of a “scoundrel” with a book to sell.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, he said they had spent hours together and had grown fond of each other during their meetings.

“I heard I was your favorite president,” he said.

The sensational claims are made in a forthcoming biography, ‘A Voyage Around the Queen’, by Craig Brown.

She writes how the late queen confided to another guest that she had “particularly disliked” the way he looked over her shoulder as if searching for someone more interesting.

“She also believed that President Trump “must have some sort of arrangement” with his wife Melania, otherwise why would she have remained married to him?” she writes in excerpts published by the Daily Mail.

Trump, 78, said there was simply no truth to the story.

“It was totally false. I have no idea who the author is, but it was actually the opposite,” Trump told DailyMail.com after a campaign rally in Asheboro, North Carolina.

“I had a great relationship with the Queen. She loved me and I loved her too.”

Trump is currently vying to reclaim the White House, but has fallen in the polls since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race to be replaced by his vice president, Kamala Harris.

And she has repeatedly spoken of her adoration for the British royal family, saying she inherited her affection from her Scottish mother.

One of his earliest memories is watching the coronation at his side.

He met her in 2018, after becoming president during a protest-marred visit to London. They met informally for tea during a trip that was cut short to avoid even larger protests.

Although he avoided making any major gaffes, he did break royal protocol by placing his hand on her back while toasting her as a “great, great woman” at dinner.

Trump said he had been defamed by a writer trying to promote a book.

“I talked to her often, and I talked to her in particular when I was there,” he said.

“We spent hours together at a state dinner. She was a fantastic woman. I think it’s a disgrace that a scoundrel can write an article that is totally false.”

Buckingham Palace has largely stayed out of the controversy and generally avoids any comment on books or biographies.

Trump, however, insisted that his trips had been a resounding success.

“She told my friends that ‘President Trump was my favorite president,'” she said.

‘And then you have this guy seeking publicity for a book that is probably fake, and in a lot of other ways too.

-I don’t know anything about him now. I have no idea who he is.

“We had an amazing relationship. She was a wonderful woman.”

Trump discussed national security, Afghanistan and his race against Kamala Harris in a wide-ranging interview Wednesday after holding his first outdoor rally since he was shot.
