When she finally sits down for her first interview since becoming the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris must explain why she has changed her stance on so many policies, why she has done nothing to secure the southern border while in power and why she needs a human shield at her side, according to one avid television news watcher, former President Donald J. Trump.
Trump sat down with DailyMail.com in the luxurious living room of his Mar-a-Lago headquarters on Wednesday.
He talked about everything from the assassination attempt that nearly killed him to the policies he’ll implement on his first day in office. But first he laid out the questions CNN’s Dana Bash should ask the vice president in her interview.
At the top of your list: What are you hiding from?
“Why isn’t it live? It’s not a live interview,” he said. “It’s an interview that’s going to be recorded and then edited and then posted. So it’s not even an interview.”

“And he does this with his vice president sitting there. He’s not very smart. When he’s asked a question he can’t answer, he looks at him and says, ‘You answer it.'”
Trump has kept up the pressure on Harris with a steady stream of interviews highlighting how she has avoided similar encounters with the media.
Meanwhile, she has enjoyed excellent fundraising and a lot of positive media coverage since President Joe Biden announced he was ending his re-election campaign.
But Republicans protested when the number of days without an official interview reached 38 on Wednesday.
That will change on Thursday, when he sits down with CNN’s Bash, alongside his running mate, Tim Walz.
Trump said he had used the time to reinvent himself, distancing himself from unpopular policies and copying his own, such as ending tip taxes.
“I think it’s crazy. He hasn’t spoken to the press for months,” he said.
“She’s not talking to anybody. She’s copying… you’d say she’s changing her mind about everything she’s believed in for the last 20 years.”
“She now says, well, she’s going to fracture the soil and, well, she’s going to build walls, but she doesn’t mean it because she’s a Marxist.”
Harris will appear alongside her running mate Tim Walz. She was spotted during a campaign event at Liberty County High School in Hinesville, Georgia, on Wednesday.
The interview will be conducted by CNN’s Dana Bash and will air Thursday night.
Harris’ campaign has distanced itself from its previous opposition to hydraulic fracking, a method used to extract oil and gas from deep rock formations that provides a major source of employment in the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania.
And now he wants to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a border wall, a Trump project he once called “un-American” and a “stupid use of money.”
“Whether he was a tsar or just in charge of the border, he was in charge of the worst border in history. I want to know what happened. Why did he do that?” he asked.
‘So I want to know why all of a sudden, two days ago, she said, ‘No, I would like to build a wall.’ After all, she was against the wall for 20 years. She fought against me at the wall. She was one of the people who fought.’
If that was the policy she wanted, she could close the border right now, she added.
Trump spoke to DailyMail.com in the lavishly decorated living room at Mar-a-Lago.
“They had three and a half years to do it. They never did it,” he said.
That, Trump added, was an indicator that his opponent was not being sincere in her new policy positions.
“She doesn’t believe in any of that, which tells you, from a character standpoint, that it’s terrible,” he said.
‘I mean she’s so dishonest.’
The CNN interview will be taped in Georgia on Thursday afternoon and will air at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
Bash has interviewed Harris twice since she became vice president.
