Donald Trump compared his $355 million sentence in a civil fraud case in New York to the “fascist” murder of a political opponent.

The former president said the lawsuits against him are a “form” of politically motivated attacks, invoking the recent death of political prisoner and rival of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Alexei Navalny.

‘It’s a form of Navalny. It’s a form of communism or fascism,” Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham during a town hall in Greenville, South Carolina, on Tuesday night.

Trump did not say whether he is preparing to post bail while appealing the decision, but he did say that despite the large funds in his bank account, Judge Arthur Engoron and Democrats “cannot accept it.”

Meanwhile, New York Attorney General Letitia James said she is willing to seize Trump’s assets if she cannot find the funds to cover the fine.

“If you do not have the funds to pay the judgment, then we will seek mechanisms to enforce the judgment in court and ask the judge to seize your assets,” James told ABC News.

Trump called Engoron, who issued the costly ruling last week, a “sick judge” during his town hall in the next and final state of South Carolina in the early primary contest.

“We have a lot of cash, but that doesn’t mean he can take it,” Trump lamented. ‘I mean, you know what he did, I think he looked at my cash and said, ‘Well, we’ll keep all his cash.’

“All this comes from the White House,” he insisted.

Trump is involved in several lawsuits, including 91 felony charges against the former president.

He says that they are all attempts at electoral interference against him.

In addition to the $354.9 million Judge Engoron ordered Trump to disburse, he is also assessed nearly $100 million in pre-judgment interest and will accrue more interest daily until he puts up the cash.

The case involved Trump, his family and associates allegedly inflating the value of their properties to make financial gains for his real estate empire, the Trump Organization.

“Everything that’s coming to light is election interference,” Trump said. “They are trying to harm me so they can win another election.”

Trump is the front-runner in the Republican presidential primary, where his only remaining contender is former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, who gave a speech Tuesday insisting she will not drop out of the race anytime soon.

President Joe Biden and Trump are so far set for a rematch in 2024.
