The 'Trump Victory Tourbillon' promoted by the former president sells for $100,000

Time is money, bets former President Donald Trump, as he launches a new sale of branded watches in the final weeks of his presidential campaign.

Trump, who has also sold gold sneakers, NFTs and even Bibles this election season, posted on his Truth Social network on Wednesday about “my new Trump watches.”

“I’m making quite a few watches and quality to me is very important,” he said, hoping that many of his online followers and political fans will rush to purchase one of their own.

The ‘Trump Victory Tourbillon’ watch he is selling has 200 grams of gold and ‘over 100 real diamonds’ and appears aimed at the 1 per cent, although other offerings are more affordable.

That’s a lot of diamonds. I love gold. I love diamonds. We all do it,’ Trump he said in an advertising video.

It has Trump’s nickname in the middle and a label that says “Swiss Made,” as well as a window showing the mechanism, although an ad showing it shows the watch above the stars of an American flag.

Their announcement does not reveal any further details about the manufacturing, design or origin of the diamonds.

The images shown in their promotional video “are for illustrative purposes only and may not be an exact representation of the final product,” a disclaimer warns. She says they are “intended to be collectible items for individual enjoyment only.”

‘It would be a great Christmas gift. Don’t wait, they’ll be gone fast,” Trump told his nearly 8 million followers in hopes that MAGA fans would take them away.

A portion of the video touts “exquisite Swiss craftsmanship” and says it features the TX07 Tourbillon movement.

Trump touted the watches on the day John Sauer, one of his lawyers, was in a New York court appealing his staggering $454 million fine in his New York fraud case. He has racked up a staggering $24 million in interest during the appeal, at a rate of about $1 million every nine days.

The Tourbillon movement, designed by Breguet, seeks to counteract the effects of gravity with a rotating cage that houses the tiny springs and wheels that allow the watch to keep time.

The most expensive one for sale on a website costs $100,000. The watch has “almost 200 grams of solid 18K gold” and 122 VS1 diamonds.

Trump says that “only 147 of these extraordinary watches will exist in the world.” You can also include a “personalized message.” The one who appears says: ‘JAMES, LET’S THINK BIG!’ and included Trump’s signature.

Each watch comes with a signed letter.

The fine print in the online advertisement says that they are manufactured by thebestwatchesonearth LLC under a paid licensing agreement. He states that the watches “are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign.”

The same could be said for several recent Trump business offers, which are unusual in presidential politics.

Last month, Trump launched World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency company.

“Cryptocurrencies are one of those things we have to do,” Trump posted on X. “Whether we like it or not, I have to do it.” He had been a critic of cryptocurrencies in the past, but he has embraced them more recently. That company involves his sons Don Jr. and Eric Trump.

In February, he began selling gold sneakers for $399 at Sneaker Con. They are gold high-tops sold under the name ‘Never Surrender High-Tops’.

He also sells $99 worth of digital trading cards, many of which depict him as a superhero.

He’s even selling Trump Bibles for $59.99.

Trump says he will keep a gold watch, though he presumably has no intention of buying himself a traditional retirement gift as he seeks to reclaim the White House.

‘I have the Number One watch and I’m going to keep it. It’s mine and that’s how I want to have it.’ He says each watch is numbered and is a “true collector’s piece.”

Not everyone on his Truth Social website agreed. ‘Every few days, he throws out another piece of trash and you fools fall into his trap. This is embarrassing,” one commenter wrote on a trending post.

‘What’s next? Chip clips and beer floats? wrote another.
