President Donald Trump revealed which of the living presidents he would call for advice.
At both his inauguration and President Jimmy Carter’s funeral, Trump came face to face with former presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as well as Joe Biden, who joined the ex-presidents’ club on Monday .
Bush is the only living ex-Republican president, while Clinton, Obama and Biden are Democrats.
Still, the 78-year-old Trump paid a compliment from across the aisle.
“Well, I thought Bill Clinton was a very good politician,” Trump replied from the Resolute Desk.
He held a mini press conference in the Oval Office on Monday evening before attending three inaugural balls.
“I don’t think it was used properly. I don’t think they respected him when Hillary was a candidate,” Trump continued.
Hillary Clinton was Trump’s Democratic rival in 2016 and it was her husband, the former president, who raised the alarm as her campaign looked weak in some of the traditional “blue wall” states – Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan – and in places where Obama had won like North Carolina.

Trump won Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and North Carolina in his shocking 2016 victory.
The newly sworn-in president recalled Clinton walking in and saying, “You know you better go to Michigan and Wisconsin.”
“Do you remember that, Peter?” Trump told Fox News’ Peter Doocy, who asked the question.
“There’s a Trump sign on every house. And they all laughed at him because the Republicans hadn’t won Michigan and Wisconsin in decades,” Trump continued. “And they all laughed at Bill Clinton. Does he even know that?’
Hillary Clinton did not visit Wisconsin once during her general election campaign.
“And he turned out to be right, because I won them both,” Trump said. “And then we both won in this election,” the president added.
Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania chose Biden in the 2020 race — and Trump won them back four years later, just like every other battleground state.
“We won all the swing states. All seven… we won them all,” Trump continued.

“But Bill Clinton had great political sense, I think,” the new president added.
Another reporter then pointed out Trump’s animated conversation with Obama at Carter’s funeral, during which Obama laughed.
The clip went viral.
“That was me!” Trump agreed. “And you’d like to know what it was – ohhh,” he teased. ‘Everyone wants to know!’
“No, no, I wouldn’t want that,” he continued. “But we had crazy conversations.”
