President Donald Trump will take sweeping executive actions after taking office on Monday.
Trump has been vocal about his desire to get to work on day one of his administration.
He will be sworn in on a bitterly cold day full of fanfare and star-studded performances.
Trump confirmed last week during a meeting with Senate Republicans that his immediate priorities are border security and rebuilding U.S. energy production through 100 executive orders.
The president-elect plans to announce at least 25 of these orders on the first day of his second term in the White House.
He will likely sign orders to halt a nationwide TikTok ban and pardon January 6 rioters.
“We want to come in and show how serious we are. Trump is back, it’s time to go. Like a shock to the system,” said one Trump adviser CNN.
“It will be the equivalent of sending George Patton to Europe to win World War II,” a second Trump adviser told the news channel, describing the “rapid-fire, very intense” executive actions being prepared.
Here are some of President Trump’s top action priorities:

Immigration
Trump said he will declare a national emergency to take all-out action against the migrant crisis.
Announcing the deportation of every illegal migrant with a criminal record is at the top of his list.
“You will see removal planes, reports of arrests and ICE action on reservations,” a source told CNN. “As you get into the 30 days and the first 100 days, you’ll see a consistent drumbeat.”
Axios reported that Trump would reportedly aggressively use laws on the books to provide more aid to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and would continue building his border wall.
Trump also said he needed help from Congress to approve funding for detention centers to provide at least 100,000 beds for those affected.
He also appears ready to bring back travel bans on what he calls “terror-ridden countries.” New York Post reported.
Other border policies Trump plans to implement early on include reinstating the “Remain in Mexico” rule, ending migrant flights from the border, ending catch-and-release and no longer allowing in migrants to America via the CBP One app.

He will also try to end so-called “birthright citizenship,” which does not automatically grant citizenship to children born on U.S. soil to illegal immigrants.
TikTok
Trump announced Sunday that he plans to issue an executive order on Inauguration Day extending the deadline for shutting down TikTok.
‘I ask companies not to let TikTok stay dark! “I will issue an executive order on Monday to extend the period before the bans go into effect so we can reach a deal to protect our national security,” he said on TruthSocial.
“The order will also confirm that there is no liability for any company that helped prevent TikTok from going dark before my order.
“I would like to see the United States have a 50% ownership position in a joint venture. By doing this we save TikTok, keep it in good hands and let it speak out. Without American approval, there is no TikTok. With our approval, it is worth hundreds of billions of dollars, perhaps trillions.”
His comments came after the Supreme Court allowed the ban to take effect in the United States on Friday.
The court ruled after TikTok argued that a law banning the app would violate the First Amendment rights of their users.

Last year, Congress passed a law banning TikTok unless its Chinese parent company ByteDance sells its shares before January 19, 2025.
U.S. officials expressed concern that the wildly popular app is a national security issue related to the collection of U.S. data.
Energy
Another big Trump priority will be undoing many of the Biden administration’s clean energy policies, including a return to offshore gas and oil drilling, as well as the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve in Alaska as part of Trump’s infamous calls for ‘drill , baby, drill’. on the campaign trail.
Trump is reportedly working on an executive order to halt offshore wind energy activities on the East Coast and is considering reapproving a permit for the Keystone Pipeline.
He will also end Biden’s electric vehicle mandate, which could potentially hurt DOGE co-chairman and “First Buddy” Elon Musk. Trump will also end Biden’s ban on natural gas exports.
Cryptocurrency
Trump plans to use his executive powers to reduce the regulatory burden facing cryptocurrency companies and promote the adoption of digital assets during his first few days in office, sources told Reuters.

Trump, who courted cryptocurrency during his campaign with promises to become a “crypto president,” is expected to sign an executive order establishing a crypto advisory board, an idea he first floated in July brought forward.
Bloomberg News first reported Thursday that Trump planned to issue an executive order establishing a crypto council, which would help advise the administration on crypto-friendly policies. It could have a maximum of twenty members.
