Nearly three weeks after Donald Trump secured his return to the Oval Office, he was on the golf course again, this time accompanied by PGA star Sam Burns.
Fellow professional golfer Nick Dunlap was also on the course with Trump and Burns during a round in Florida.
Trump is an avid golfer and took the time choosing his cabinet to show his appreciation for Burns and Dunlap, taking a photo with each while wearing a white hat that said “Make America Great Again.”
Burns returned to the field days after sharing a photo of another of his passions, hunting, and posting on social media a photo of himself sporting a MAGA hat after winning a nine-point buck.
The photo touched his fans, some congratulating Burns on his hunting skills, while others were upset because it showed the dead deer.
Dunlap was not displeased by Burns’ act, commenting on the post: “Where do you get a hat like that?”
Donald Trump returned to the golf course on Friday with professionals Sam Burns and Nick Dunlap.
Burns recently came under fire on social media for posting a hunting photo with a dead deer.
Burns is the latest in a trend of athletes who have supported Donald Trump.
Over the past week, UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones did Trump’s signature dance inside the octagon after defeating Stipe Miocic in a title defense at Madison Square Garden with the president-elect sitting ringside.
The dance became an ongoing celebration across sports with Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and US men’s national soccer team captain Christian Pulisic doing the dance after scoring in their respective games on Sunday and Monday.
Burns is a five-time PGA Tour winner and finished inside the top 10 at a major tournament, this year’s US Open at Pinehurst, which was won by fellow Trump supporter Bryson DeChambeau.
Dunlap has two victories on the PGA Tour and has made the cut in five major tournaments.
