President-elect Donald Trump returned to the White House on Wednesday for a friendly meeting with President Joe Biden that sparked a wild theory.
‘Welcome. Welcome back,” Biden told Trump, referring to him as “president-elect” and “former president,” and promising to work with his political rival for a smooth transition of power.
The two leaders met in front of a roaring fire in the Oval Office, exchanging pleasantries.
After shaking hands, Biden smiled widely and his smile sparked widespread reaction on social media, with some suggesting it could have a deeper meaning.

Trump thanked Biden and struck a noticeably different tone than he had during the campaign.
“Politics is tough,” said the president-elect. “In many cases it is not a pretty world, but today it is.”
Trump said of the transition process: “It’s going to be as smooth as possible and I really appreciate that, Joe.”
Melania Trump was not with her husband. But first lady Jill Biden joined President Biden to greet Trump upon his arrival at the White House.
He presented the president-elect with a handwritten letter of congratulations to Melania, which also expressed his team’s willingness to help with the transition.
