Domhnall Gleeson stars alongside Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney in the original drama Echo Valley from Apple.
Michael Pearce, who won a BAFTA for Beastwill direct Echo Valleywhich counts Ridley Scott as producer and has a screenplay from Mare van Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby.
Echo Valley revolves around Kate Garrett (Moore), who is reeling from personal tragedy and spends her days boarding and training horses at the picturesque Echo Valley Farm, in southeastern Pennsylvania. When her wayward daughter Clare (Sweeney) arrives late one night, covered in someone else’s blood, the story veers into thriller territory and explores just how far a mother will go to save her child.
Gleeson plays Jackie, a local criminal who forces himself into Kate’s life and disrupts her quiet existence with secrets about her family.
Ingelsby, who co-developed the story with Michael Pruss, received critical acclaim for his crime series Mare van Easttownwhich won four Emmys and became a breakthrough show for HBO.
Scott is producing the upcoming feature through Scott Free. Pruss, Ingelsby and Kevin Walsh produce for The Walsh Company. Executive producers are Scott Greenberg, Rebecca Feuer of Scott Free and Nicole Jordan-Webber. Erika Olde and Sam Roseme executive produce through Black Bicycle Entertainment. Tanja Tawadjoh will co-produce.
Gleeson, who is represented by Paradigm and The Agency, has recent credit with HBO miniseries, among others Some house plumbers.
