Dolphy was honored on the 11th anniversary of his death not only by his partner Zsa Zsa Padilla, his sons Vandolph and Eric Quizon, but also by his co-stars from the hit 1990s sitcom “Home Along Da Riles”.
Padilla marked the occasion with his usual routine, visiting and bringing flowers to Dolphy’s grave, as seen on his Instagram page on Monday, July 10.
“Today is the 11th anniversary of Dolphy’s death. Please say a little prayer for him,” she said in the caption.
“You are remembered every day, especially today,” Eric wrote as he held up an old photo of him and his dad. “Has been [11] years.”
For his part, Vandolph remembered his late father at a small gathering with his “Home Along Da Riles” castmates, including Claudine Barretto, the grandson of late veteran actor Boy2 Quizon, Smokey Manaloto, Gio Alvarez, former actress Maybelyn Dela Cruz and Brod Pete. The show’s writers and staff were also present at the meeting.

It can be recalled that the cast of the sitcom also had a previous meeting at Manaloto’s son’s christening party.
Dolphy, born Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr., passed away due to obstructive pulmonary disease in July 2012. He was 83 years old.
In addition to “Home Along Da Riles,” Dolphy starred in numerous movies and TV shows, including “John En Marsha,” Mars Ravelo’s “Facifica Falayfay,” and “Ang Tatay Kong Nanay,” directed by Lino Brocka. /ra
