A diver has been pulled from the water after getting into trouble at a popular snorkelling spot near Manly.

The woman in her 30s was rescued at Shelly Beach on Sydney’s northern beaches before being rushed to hospital on Wednesday morning.

NSW Ambulance confirmed they were called to the scene shortly before 10.30am to report the diver in trouble, after it was reported she needed urgent help.

A spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia the woman was transported to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.

Video images posted by The Daily Telegraph shows several New South Wales ambulance paramedics carrying her onto a stretcher.

The incident comes after a newlywed drowned on the same beach during their honeymoon last month.

A teenager checked on the woman, believed to be from South Korea, after she was seen floating face down and motionless.

When she did not respond, they pulled her out of the water and locals tried to revive her on the beach.

Emergency services attended the scene and attempted to treat her, but were unable to save her.

Soon after, beachgoers said they had been traumatized by the tragedy.

‘I could not sleep last night. Seeing her like that kept appearing in my mind. I had never seen a dead person before. It was horrible,’ said one mother.

“Her poor husband… as we were leaving, we heard a man screaming, crying and wailing and we realized it must have been her husband.”
