Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania shows off her slimmer waist after losing weight with diet drugs…as her doctor defends her decision to put her on Hollywood’s new favorite pill
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania showed off her weight loss while out in New York on Monday, just days after she admitted to using a diet drug to shed pounds.
The 52-year-old joined fellow co-star Rachel Fuda in the New York Live studio during a promotional tour.
The couple appeared to be enjoying their time in the spotlight as they took pictures as they left the venue.
Catania showed off her slim figure as she wore a denim sport coat and matching pants during an outing.
The Catania outing comes as Catania doctor Rocio Salas-Wallin defended her decision to prescribe Monjaro, a drug similar to Ozambique, to the media personality.
On the small screen: Dolores Catania and Rachel Fuda were spotted taping for New York Life Monday night.
The Catania doctor made her comments during a recent interview todaywhere she expressed that there were a variety of reasons why a patient might be prescribed a weight-loss drug.
“When we see someone who we might think doesn’t need medication, unless you’re their doctor, you don’t know their medical history,” she said.
Salas-Wallen went on to say that the general public should not rush to answer when an individual admits to using the drug, which has been widely promoted as an easy way to lose weight in a short period of time.
“No one can assume just by looking at someone that they don’t need it or that they are doing it for the wrong reasons,” she said.
Catania admitted to using Monjaro to lose weight during an episode of Watch What Happens Live that aired last week.
When asked by host Andy Cohen if she uses medication, the reality TV personality mentioned it: “Which housewife is not in Ozempic?”

Make an impression: Catania stood out in a denim sport coat and matching trousers while outing. The social media personality also wore a bright turquoise blouse and brown high-heeled shoes that matched well with the dominant tone of her outfit.

Staying consistent: Voda opted for an almost all-black outfit that included a trench coat worn over a low-cut blouse.
Then I noticed that she didn’t want to be the heaviest individual in the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
“I wasn’t going to attend a reunion and look older than everyone else, so I joined the bandwagon,” she said.
“Reunion in two weeks. I have a coach (too),” said Catania.
When asked if she experienced any side effects by the host, 54, the mother-of-two said she was “not hungry.”
The TV personality then explained that she was “actually (taking) Monjaro”, a drug very similar to Ozempic.
After the episode aired, viewers flocked to social media to describe Catania’s final interview as “unhealthy and interesting.”
One Twitter user wrote: “Dolores says she’s #Ozempic with pride made me laugh out loud (shaking my head).”
Another asked: Wait, isn’t there a shortage of Ozempic for diabetics? And Dolores has casually admitted that she wears it with a huge grin on her face?
A third noted that it was “kind of a mess that Dolores and the rest of the #RHONJ cast” were “so quick to hop on the Ozempic train while fellow cast member Jackie (Goldschneider) recovers from an eating disorder.”
