Stop the presses! Dolly Parton just launched her very first fragrance – Fragrance From Above. Of course, because the singer never does anything with half measures, she dropped a brand new single to coincide with the launch: Sent from Above.
The fragrance has sweet, floral notes – think mandarin, peony blossom, jasmine, vanilla – which are balanced by earthy sandalwood, musk and patchouli.
“It smells so good,” the singer of “Jolene” gushed on HSN. “So soft and so feminine.”
The set, which just dropped on HSN, contains a 3.4 fl. oz. bottle of the fragrance, plus a rollerball for your bag – perfect for applying during your “9 to 5”.
Great care has also been taken in the packaging: the butterfly bottle is a tribute to Parton’s 1974 album, Life is like a butterfly.
The exclusive set is on sale today only for $61 (less than $79 when purchased separately). And if you’re new to HSN, you can score an extra $20 on your first order with code HSN2021. Make sure to check out this video to hear Parton talk poetically about her fragrance debut.
Parton revealed in a press release that perfume was a long time coming – it’s been her dream for years.
“Ever since I was a little girl, I dream of having my own perfume,” she shared. “Now that my dream comes true, I know it has been sent to heaven. I hope everyone feels as blessed and beautiful as I do when they wear my new fragrance.”
Some parting words: The scent is so universal, the singer said that a very special girl would love this scent:
“I would think even Jolene would probably wear this!” said Parton, laughing.
