In another festive scene, she wore a champagne-colored lace-up dress and an embroidered cardigan.
Dolly told the publication: ‘These days, my Christmas starts in November. I have my house and garden decorated, I put a cross on top of the chapel, and on Thanksgiving night, I flip the switch and everything goes on.
‘Tourists come and look at the outside of my house, so for their sake it’s a little less tacky out there, but inside I can decorate it however I want!
‘I have Christmas trees in every room, everything has lights on, and then we add more lights, and then more lights. I change all the decoration: the kitchen towels and the curtains.
She continued: ‘Oh, and I have Christmas lights in my hair, I have them everywhere. I wear light-up earrings, a light-up reindeer necklace, I wear sweaters with Christmas lights on – you press a button and I light up!’
And her love for Christmas doesn’t end there, as the singer revealed that she even dresses up as Granny Claus for her nieces, nephews, and children of people who work with her.
“I’ll do everything I can to put a smile on their faces,” he gushed. “Every year I play Grandma Claus: I put on my Santa suit and go down the chimney with my sack full of presents.”
‘Even though many of the children are older, they still expect me to do it. One day I’ll be limping in that elevator!’

When asked if she’s dressing up for the big day, Dolly told the magazine: “It’s hard for me to dress down.”
‘(My sister) Rachel is a natural beauty, while I need a bit of shine and shine. I like to go above. You should see the inside of my house at Christmas!
He continued: “Rachel is a serious cook, and that’s where the title of our book, Good Lookin’ Cookin’, came from, because she makes things look pretty and people ask, ‘How did she do that?’
“She’s the best host and classiest, while I’m more of the welcoming committee.”
Finally, commenting on the gifts he likes to receive, the country legend said: “Everyone tells me, ‘Oh, I don’t know what to get you, what do you buy for someone who has everything?’
‘And I say, ‘Well, get them something to put it on!’ I am the easiest person in the world to shop for because I love jewelry and bags and purses.
“As for my sisters, I usually send someone who has better taste than me to make sure they get the really good things for them.”
The December 2024 issue of Good Housekeeping will be on sale starting October 24
