Dodgers' bizarre 'crotch bump' celebration divides opinion in MLB playoff game

While Dodgers star Kike Hernandez was angry for putting his team on the board in the MLB playoffs, fans were divided over his bizarre celebration.

During Friday’s NLDS Game 5 victory over the San Diego Padres, Hernandez had an interesting way to celebrate after recording a home run to take a 1-0 lead.

As he ran back to the dugout after the home run, Hernandez appeared to push teammate Gavin Lux’s cup. The viral clip would divide the fan base when they spoke out on social media.

‘Ayooo, this celebration by Kike Hernández after hitting a home run is a disgusting job,’ wrote one user.

“This is next level team chemistry,” a second joked.

A third added: “This is the most diabolical victory cheer I’ve ever seen OMG?” Meanwhile, a fourth said: “LMAO he so wanted to convince me he saw otherwise.”

“This is a great example of next level teamwork,” said a fifth.

“Bro, I couldn’t believe my eyes on last night’s stream, this is the next level,” a sixth user chimed in.

Another user responded with a photo of hernandez he appears to grab his teammate’s crotch while running, suggesting that these are his usual antics.

However, the Dodgers maintained and increased their lead to win 2-0 in front of their home fans.

Los Angeles will host the first game of the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets on Sunday night.
