Victoria Police are searching for an unknown offender who stole a red Honda CBR motorcycle from a Docklands apartment block in Melbourne at 5.30am on April 24.

A worker was caught on camera removing a motorcycle from a secure parking lot in a brazen robbery.

The thief, believed to be aged between 30 and 40, stole the Honda CBR motorcycle from the garage of a Docklands apartment building in Melbourne at 5.30am on April 24.

CCTV footage showed the man in a reflective vest waiting patiently at the blocked entrance to the car park on a scooter.

He then followed another car closely and entered the garage.

Once inside the parking lot, the man calmly pulled the parked motorcycle out onto the street and drove away.

He was last seen travelling along the Aquitaine Road.

Victoria Police released CCTV footage of the robbery and urged the public to keep an eye out for the culprit.

The license plate of the stolen motorcycle is GV 755.

The man is described as having olive skin, about 170cm tall, with short brown hair and a moustache.

He was last seen wearing fluorescent work clothes and carrying a backpack.
