In her post, she wrote in the caption: “What a wonderful weekend spending it all with my family, some Scottish museums/landmarks and then going to visit Loch Lomond where my mother’s ashes were laid to rest.”

A statement announcing his death on Saturday read: “Statement from the family of Jack Revill (Jackmaster): It is with deep sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of Jack Revill, known to many as Jackmaster. Jack died tragically in Ibiza on the morning of October 12, after complications resulting from an accidental head injury.

‘His family, Kate, Sean and Johnny, are completely heartbroken. “While deeply moved by the overwhelming support from friends, colleagues and fans, the family kindly requests privacy as they navigate the immense pain of this devastating loss.”

The family requested privacy as they go through this difficult time, but take comfort in knowing that Revil’s legacy will live on through his music.

The caption continued: “Jack’s passion for music and his relentless drive to push creative boundaries through his work at the Numbers label and Rubadub Records in Glasgow, including the discovery of countless groundbreaking artists, made him a Beloved and pioneering figure in the electronic music community, both in front of and behind the scenes.

‘His talent for blending genres and delivering electrifying DJ sets and productions earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and fans around the world. “His legacy will continue to inspire and his impact on the world of dance music will remain indelible.”

Fans were devastated by the DJ’s death and flooded his comments with messages of love and support for the surviving family members.

Another heartbroken follower chimed in: ‘I can’t believe this. Bleak. Thanks for all the amazing memories and inspiration, Jack. This is just awful, awful, awful.

The Glasgow, Scotland native fell in love with music at the age of 14 when he started working at Rubadub, a local record store.

“I never had to buy any album again. So that was an obvious benefit (of the job),’ Revill told Resident Advisor in a 2012 interview.

He gushed to the outlet at the time: “It was just little things, like when promotions came around and you had first choice.”

His last performance was on September 27.

At 17, Revill was determined to become a DJ after gaining popularity in Glasgow clubs.

During the more than twenty years he has spent in the music industry, the decorated producer won the Breakthrough DJ Award at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards in 2010. He was also known for his 2014 BBC Radio residency.

Revill documented his final performance via Instagram on September 27.
