Sophia Bush has asked a judge to rule out the ability to pay or receive child support in her divorce from husband Grant Hughes after just 13 months of marriage.
The 41-year-old actress in her court filing cited a prenup agreement she had with Hughes, 41, that said she would not pay child support if they separated, the explosion reported Tuesday after reviewing court documents.
The Pasadena, Calif. native noted the short duration of the marriage in the filing, stating that they separated on June 27, 2023.
“The exact nature and extent of the parties’ separate assets and debts are unknown at this time,” Bush’s attorneys told the court. “However, each party will be assigned their respective assets and debts in accordance with the terms of the agreement signed by the parties prior to their marriage.”
Bush, who starred as Brooke Davis on the One Tree Hill TV series, has asked for legal fees to be split in the case.

Bush, who has also been seen on Chicago PD, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and This Is Us, did not directly comment on the breakup after filing for divorce from the researcher on Friday.
A source said People of the split: “Sophia and Grant had been friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service.
“They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends.”
The two are founders of the Bush Hughes Foundation for Progress, which was established to “support organizations and individuals working for equity, social justice, and progress in the city of Tulsa,” according to the association website.
The two have a great connection to the city as they got married in Oklahoma City in June 2022.
The news shared comes just seven weeks after Sophia celebrated her wedding anniversary with a now-deleted Instagram post.

The Tulsa County Court Clerk told the WeWeekly when the duo obtained a marriage license on June 8 and returned it on June 11.
The nuptials took place at the Philbrook Museum of Art, which was built in 1927 and is surrounded by more than two dozen acres of greenery.
