Diva Cups: the 10 funniest things I have ever seen (on the internet)

hhey! We are the Diva Cups. Nice to meet you. If you don’t know us, know that four hands + a shared brain cell + a mutual adoration of pop music = a moderately successful DJ career in Sydney. Also keep in mind that if there’s one thing we love as much as we love pop music, it’s fun stuff on the internet.

As Zillennials, we’re old enough to remember the deafening tones of a dial-up modem and mildly traumatized by Omegle, but young enough that our attention spans have been aggressively eroded by short-form video content before for our frontal lobes to fully develop. . Naturally, we’re two certified digital natives flying the flag and keeping our screen time as abysmally as possible.

Here are some things that make us laugh.

1. DJ Khaled dancing

Iconoclastic DJ Khaled really gave a drunk guy at the family function and God, we love him for it. Physical comedy tickles our fancy here at Diva Cups HQ, so believe us when we say that recreations of this little two-step move will please any and all audiences.

2. Trisha Paytas finds out that Teenage Dream was No Originally by Darren Criss.

@trishlikefish88 Is anyone else confused? 🙈nea #JustTrish ♬ original sound – trishapaytas

Trisha is so real about this. Yeah, we’re Gleeks, okay? Get over!

3. NikNok123 fighting with his brother in the dark.

@niknok123 story time for why I sleep with a night light 😂 stay until the end for what I think is the funniest part #storytime ♬ original sound – ★ annalize | niknok123 ♥︎

Considering this is the pace, volume and diction we also conversed with, we suspect NikNok could be the long-lost third Diva Cup. Did we both double over and snort several times while watching this storytime video? It is not normal.

4. Why would you want mid-century furniture?

Why would I want furniture from a century that was mid?

The morning of March 15, 2022: When the entire population of Sydney’s inner west was found dead (in their replica Eames chairs).

5. Hey mistake, are you my dad?

I keep quoting this. It’s like a vocal stick. I love saying OY MISTA! YOU ME DAD? With a slightly Cockney Oliver Twist voice. pic.twitter.com/xyiDEdBxMR

We’re not immune to the appeal of British accent-based humor, and this gem could very well be where it all started. Original? No. Timeless? Absolutely.

6. Aaron Chen’s Timomatic Joke

Not only is Aaron Chen one of the best comedians to ever do it, but this joke is also the perfect crossover of our mutual interest in early 2010s Aussie pop sensations and men’s humor.

7. The best Borat TikTok of all time

Okay, now that we’re making ourselves vulnerable by the fact that we both possess the sense of humor of a prepubescent teenager, we’ll leave this here. To be honest, we’re bummed that we can’t include the entire Borat movie on the list, but this almost covers it.

8. Stath’s Chicken Shop Date

Almost everyone is familiar with Chicken Shop Date (Amelia Dimoldenberg? Icon, legend, the moment!), but we’re incredibly passionate about making sure Jamie Demetriou’s Stath gets her flowers, too. This video is a quick introduction to the crazy world of Stath Lets Flats, which is the perfect show to watch when you get home from the club and need something to laugh about while you remove your false eyelashes and inhale a Port burger.

9. Glozell’s Cinnamon Challenge

Sometimes classics really are classics for a reason!

10. Ironing

2023 was the year we half-heartedly tried to revive boards (until Flume somehow scraped data from our brains and posted the infamous beach board photo dump, the copycat). Nothing brings a team together like everyone helping to build a board. More boards in 2024!
