Disturbing moment Sydney EV owner ended up in a nasty spat with a ute driver after he asked him to move out of a charging bay at Stanhope Village shopping centre

An electric vehicle claims it faced a foul-mouthed tirade of abuse from a ute driver who was blocking a charging station.

To add insult to injury, the ute driver allegedly even stood still just to deny the Sydney S man the facility.Ali Tootooni.

In a Facebook post, Tootooni said he wanted to use the charger at the EV bay at the Stanhope Village shopping center in SydneyIt’s northwest, which it does regularly, but there was a van parked there.

The only occupant of the offending vehicle was a woman sitting in the passenger seat.

When Mr. Tootooni asked if the van could be parked in some of the other available spots, the woman said the driver was at the mall buying the medication he needed to recover from surgery.

However, she expected him to return soon and free up the space, so Tootooni returned to her vehicle and waited 10 minutes for the man to appear.

Tootooni said he politely asked the man to move his vehicle, but was met with a flat refusal and an aggressive statement of “no, I’m not going to do it.”

Even offering Mr Tootooni’s spot to the ute driver was to no avail.

Tootooni was then forced to wait another 20 minutes while the man returned to the pharmacy, but said the ute driver became much more threatening when he returned, even challenging the electric vehicle owner to a fight.

“I didn’t want to fight or anything like that,” Mr Tootooni said. yahoo news .

“So I got back to my car and he said a bunch of things like ‘you fucking asshole’ and ‘you’re fucking inconsiderate,’ just saying those kinds of words, but I didn’t respond.

“Then he deliberately stayed in the car.”

Finally, after 40 minutes, Tootooni said the ute drove away, but not before the driver hurled more insults at him from the moving vehicle.

Mt Tootooni said he had previously asked other drivers to release the EV bay without incident, but this time he was met with aggression and refusal.

In Queensland, it could cost you $55 and in Victoria, the minimum fine is $99.
