A taekwondo instructor accused of a shocking triple murder in Sydney’s west had handed a black belt to an alleged seven-year-old victim hours earlier.

The boy and Min ‘Sue’ Cho, 41, were allegedly strangled at the Lion’s Taekwondo and Martial Arts Studio in North Parramatta by Kwang Kyung Yoo, 49, on February 21 between 6pm and 11pm.

Police allege that Yoo then drove Ms Cho’s own car, a white BMW X5 SUV, to her home in Baulkham Hills, where she allegedly stabbed her husband, Hyun Soo ‘Steven’ Cho, 39.

Police allege Yoo then showered in a private bathroom at Chos’ property on Watkins Rd, changed into clothes owned by Mr Cho and left, reports. The Daily Telegraph.

Yoo then allegedly drove to his own home in North Kellyville, but arrived suffering from what police say were self-inflicted stab wounds to the chest that he said stemmed from an altercation in a supermarket parking lot.

At his wife’s insistence, he went to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery and was then arrested and kept under police guard.

A relative of Ms. Cho who was at the family property on Thursday told the newspaper that her devastated relatives had traveled from South Korea and were making funeral arrangements for the three alleged victims.

“It’s still a shock to them,” one neighbor translated.

It is understood the funeral will take place next week.

The three bodies were found when Mr. Cho’s mother contacted the police after failing to locate them.

Police then attended the Baulkham Hills property where they found Mr Cho and subsequently traced Ms Cho’s phone to the taekwondo studio where they found her and the child.

He remains in police custody and has not yet entered a plea.

Police prosecutors will have to present Yoo and his lawyers with a brief of evidence by April 16 and the matter will be presented to the court two days later.
