A woman who recently returned to Perth is in pieces & # 39; after a local ranger recommended euthanasia to his beloved dog.
Monty, a two-year-old Mastiff boxer, jumped over a secure fence in the East Fremantle backyard when his owner, Angela Beechey, went out to dinner last Wednesday.
According to witnesses, the rescue dog, who is also deaf, "attacked". Two people nearby, including a cyclist.
Both had posterior tetanus injections for leg bites.

Monty was popular in several cafes, gyms and even a pub in Gold Coast suburb Miami
Ms. Beechey was approached by a ranger at her home the next day, who informed her that Monty must be formally declared a "dangerous dog".
It must also be classified under the Dangerous Dogs Act, which includes caging, gagging and surveillance.
If Ms. Beechey does not comply, she will be informed that her companion will have a destruction order on him.
"I was in shock, I did not know what to say at the beginning," the 24-year-old pilot told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday.
"Monty is a very funny dog, when I lived in Queensland I used to always take him to the gym, to the cafes, even to my local pub during happy hour.
"I had never attacked anyone before, I definitely had no character."
Monty was taken by the ranger last week and is currently in a Perth shelter until an investigation is completed.
Ms. Beechey, who hired the services of a lawyer, is paying $ 46 per day to keep Monty in the pound.

"They (the gamekeeper) took him directly to a post with a muzzle," said the crazy marketing manager.
"I will be fighting against the destruction order in court, as well as the request to be marked as a dangerous dog for the rest of your life.
"All this has happened so fast, so I'm a little messy, I've hardly slept last week without worries.
"If someone has any advice to get him out of this situation, it would be very appreciated."
Ms. Beechey has also raised about $ 2,500 from her goal of $ 4,000 through GoFundMe.
