The dog reportedly ran to a swamp area nearby and the fatal encounter with the alligator followed.

One witness claimed that she saw Java covered in blood and soon fell on Epp's shoulder.

According to locals, three other dogs have been killed by alligators in the park in the last five years.

Epp, who lived with his mother, was so distraught by the dog's death that his family begged & # 39; local health facilities to give him & # 39; & # 39; for treatment in the following hours, according to a GoFundMe page.

They were allegedly & # 39; rejected and told that since Epp did not say he wanted to hurt himself, the earliest time he could even see a doctor was August 2019.
