Rachel Zegler has apologized for offending Americans who voted for Donald Trump, as Disney faces mounting calls to fire the Snow White star.
The 23-year-old said she hoped “Trump voters and Trump himself will never know peace” after he won the election last week.
Her comments sparked a wave of anger among his supporters, who vowed to boycott the live-action Snow White remake, set for release in March 2025.
Hours after her comments went viral, Zegler returned to Instagram to publicly apologize, admitting, “I let my emotions get the best of me.
“Hate and anger have pushed us further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry for contributing to the negative discourse.”
Megyn Kelly was one of her most outspoken critics, urging Disney to “remake your movie.”
“This woman is a pig and you fired Gina Garano for much less than this bullshit.”
Gina Carano played Cara Dune in the first two seasons of the popular Star Wars series Mandalorian. She was fired in 2021 after comparing the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany to conservatives in modern America in a social media post. She filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Disney.

Zegler said in her apology that “this week has been emotional for so many of us.”
Carano then reposted some of the criticism on her own X account, but did not directly address the situation.
Zegler said in her apology that “this week has been emotional for many of us.”
‘I am convinced that everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it differs from mine. I am determined to make a positive contribution to a better future.’
After Donald Trump’s resounding election victory last week, she shared a series of devastating messages with her 2.3 million followers.
“I find myself speechless in the middle of this,” she said. “May Trump’s supporters, Trump’s voters, and Trump himself never know peace.
“Another four years of hate, leaning us toward a world I don’t want to live in.” Leaning us into a world where it will be difficult to raise my daughter.”
Zegler said she “shouldn’t be shocked” by the outcome of the election — which saw Trump walking away with both the popular vote and the Electoral College vote after winning every swing state.
She described Kamala Harris’ loss as “a loss that shouldn’t have happened… and it certainly shouldn’t have happened by so many votes.”
The 23-year-old Hollywood star will play the titular role in the live-action remake, which is set for release in March 2025
Zegler’s strong opinions have sparked backlash in the past, but her latest outburst could derail the release, according to Trump voters who are vowing to boycott the film.
Zegler described support for Trump as a “foolish subscription to a false sense of security, masculinity, intelligence, patriotism and humanity.”
“There is a deep sickness in this country… evidenced by the sheer number of people who stood up for this man who threatens our democracy.
“It’s terrifying how many people support what this man preaches.”

She then took aim at billionaire Elon Musk, who became one of Trump’s most outspoken – and generous – donors during his campaign.
“Get off Elon’s app,” she told her followers. ‘I don’t use that app for nothing. He helped get that man elected and you’re giving him business.”
Her comments have now gone viral on X, as offended Trump voters vow to boycott the film.
“I will not take my children to see this garbage after the statement you made. Disney, you need to do something about this,” said one critic.

“I hope you don’t get any rest as this movie BOMBS at the box office and streaming.”
Others said she should lose her job or have the project shelved completely after her statements.
“Rachel Zegler is unhinged and a liability,” one critic wrote. ‘They should put Snow White on the shelf for good and distance themselves from her. Her involvement in the company is alienating millions of people and poisoning the brand as a whole.”
The Hunger Games actress previously criticized David Hand’s original 1937 animated film as “extremely dated when it comes to ideas about women in roles of power and what a woman is fit for in the world.”
“The original cartoon came out in 1937, and that’s clearly the case,” Rachel scoffed to Extra TV in 2022.
‘There is a lot of attention for her love story with a man who literally stalks her. Foreign. So we didn’t do that this time.’
That same year, Zegler told Variety that her version of Snow White would dream of becoming a “fearless leader” instead of “dreaming about true love.”
She waded into yet a third rail issue earlier this year after adding a Free Palestine hashtag to a post sharing the first trailer for the highly anticipated film.
That fueled rumors of possible trouble with co-star Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress who plays the Evil Queen and who served in the IDF.
