American mockumentary Abbott Elementary, starring Quinta Brunson (middle), has achieved an unbeatable 100 percent score on Rotten Tomato.

ABC’s latest workplace comedy, Abbott Elementary, has achieved a rare perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

While a 100 percent rating on the site is rare, it’s an even more unusual feat for later episodes of a popular show.

Most series start high in the ratings and progressively drop with each season, as was the case with True Detective, Game of Thrones and Pretty Little Liars.

However, Quinta Brunson’s success program has increased from 98 percent in its first season to 100 percent in its second and third.

Available on Prime and Disney Plus, the mockumentary follows a group of teachers at a Philadelphia-based public school, who help students succeed when the odds are often against them.

The first episode of the third season started off strong, with an hour-long premiere.

The episode also included special guests at the Philadelphia-based school: Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, along with teammates Brandon Graham and Jason Kelce.

A mockumentary style similar to The Office, Abbott Elementary has won over audiences with characters ranging from fan favorites to morally questionable scene-stealers.

For example, despite the school’s lack of funding, deaf principal Ava Coleman (Janelle James) splurges on her luxurious private bathroom and later admits to microdosing mushrooms.

It is also revealed that he only managed to get the position after blackmailing the superintendent.

The comedy series stars (from left) Tyler James Williams as Gregory, Janelle James as Ava, Quinta Brunson as Janine, Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara, Chris Perfetti as Jacob and Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa.

Meanwhile, the do-gooders keeping the business and its students afloat include Jacob Hill (Chris Perfetti), a young teacher at the school, and the main character Janine Teagues, played by Quinta herself.

Other quirky personalities also include the no-nonsense, God-loving Barbara Howard (Sheryl Lee Ralph), the cunning Melissa Schemmenti (Lisa Ann Walter), and the clumsy but well-meaning Gregory Eddie (Tyler James Williams).

Critical praise comes from Liz Shannon Miller of Consequence, who said: “Abbott Elementary, from its first episode, did not hesitate to achieve greatness, and the premiere of the third season of the comedy created by Quinta Brunson shows multiple reasons why the program is prepared to entertain us for as long as it wants “.

Meanwhile, Aramide Tinubu of Variety said, “Brunson and the writers have prepared to address some of the deepest and most complex issues that have educators across the country running for the hills.”

Aramide referenced the series’ ability to remain “witty” while addressing the critical issue of teacher burnout.

Top critic Clint Worthington also reasoned similarly, saying, “Career Day” is light on laughs and heavy on character, focusing more on warm and fuzzy moments between its characters than exploiting them for (humor).”

Meanwhile, Joshua Rivera of Polygon He added: “Abbott Elementary is a fantastic comedy about resilience and optimism, about what it’s like to not only make the best of the bad hand you’ve been dealt, but also how to inspire others to do the same.”

Elsewhere, fans of the show took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the success.
