Disney and Pixar’s Elio, hitting theaters March 1, 2024, has received its first trailer and poster.
Alongside the show and poster, it was revealed that Elio, which will be Pixar’s 28th animated feature film, will see Jamila Jamil from The Good Place and Brad Garrett from Everybody Loves Raymond joining the voice cast that already includes America Ferrera and Jonas Kipre.
Jonas will play Elio, while America will play her mother, Olga. As for Jamila and Brad, they will play Ambassador Cuesta and Ambassador Gregon.
The official movie description reads: “For centuries, people have been reaching out to the universe in search of answers, and in the all-new Disney and Pixar movie Elio, the universe responds. The original feature film introduces Elio, a vulnerable boy with a wild imagination who inadvertently finds himself pulled through Beam to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide.He is mistaken for Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, and utterly unprepared for this kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with alien lifeforms, and survive a series of of immense experiences and somehow discovers who he really should be.”
Elio is directed by Adrian Molina, co-director and screenwriter of Coco, and produced by Mary-Alice Drumm, co-producer of Coco.
Another Pixar movie, Elemental, will hit theaters before Elio, and this June 16th film is about a city where fire, water, earth, and air live together.
