Dalot told about the arrival of Fernandes Official website of Manchester United: ‘Perfect. I mean, it’s like he’s been here two years.

‘He is very happy with the boys, it is very good to have him here, it is very good for me, very good for the team, he is a fantastic player and a fantastic person.

“So it’s another one to help the team.”

Dalot has called on his teammates to aim for a Champions League spot and win silverware during the final stages of the season with United still in the Europa League and FA Cup.

He added: “That is why we are here. Man United always fights for trophies and to win games.

‘Those competitions, we want to win them with everything we have and the battle for the top four in the Premier League, because that’s what we want as players.

“I think we have everything to do that.”

United will face Chelsea in the Premier League on Stamford Bridge on Monday and will face Club Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday.
