Dietmar Hamann has hailed new Manchester United recruit Jadon Sancho as ‘the best winger in world football’ who can ‘galvanize’ team-mates Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba to great things.
The long-running story of Sancho’s £73 million move to Old Trafford came to an end this week when he was finally revealed as the new number 25 for the Red Devils.
Sancho has been lighting the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund for several years now and Hamann believes he can make a difference in United’s title battle next season.

“It’s an important season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United and I expect Jadon Sancho to become a star at Old Trafford,” Hamann told the BBC. Race message.
“Rarely have I seen a winger who can beat his man so easily, he drops his shoulder and just walks past defenders.”
Sancho has long been a top target for Solskjaer and his arrival has drawn the attention of the vast array of attacking talent United now have to offer.
Hamann also noted this, but said one of Sancho’s key skills is to improve his team-mates and create chances, and he expects the former Manchester City youth player at Old Trafford to be no different.

“Sancho could also encourage people like Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba at United,” he said.
“Having seen him in the Bundesliga, he makes other players better, creates chances and pulls defenders out of position, and we saw a glimpse of that in England’s quarter-final victory against Ukraine at Euro 2020.”
Sancho’s pedigree is well known in Germany. The 21-year-old took the Bundesliga by storm in his four years in Germany, with an exceptional 89 goals in 104 appearances for Dortmund.
Many Germans were baffled that he was not a regular first-team player for Gareth Southgate’s England at Euro 2020, and Hamann is no exception.
Hamann said Sancho would have been the first choice if he had been England head coach at Euro 2020
“I was surprised that he was on the periphery of that tournament, he would be my first choice as a manager,” he said.
“In my opinion, not only is Sancho England’s best winger, he is the best winger in world football and United fans should be very excited about his return to Manchester.”
Sancho’s chances of playing alongside Pogba could be gone before they start, however, as the Frenchman is expected to be the subject of a £43million bid from Paris Saint-Germain.
